1960 MG MGA Description

This is a beautiful vehicle that was restored to original specification, original motor and transmissio, about 20 years ago. Paint is in very nice conditio, interior like new, body dent fre, chrome in very nice to excellent condition. No rust anywhere and new wood floors . Selling due to my health and age a few cars in my collection. Car always babied and garaged. Runs beautifully and always shifted fine until I decided to get it ready for sale. Seems I m having a problem shifting into revers, all four forward gears areFine and drives ok but reverse has become an issue Frustrating but I don't have the time or inclination to have it repaired so please take that into consideration in your bidding. Car is being sold as is !!! The cost of fixing that reverse gear issue please calculate in your budget offer . It's probably something minor because it was fine and shifted then it seemed to get locked out ??? Anyway, that's the only real issue, a few minor oil leaks because it's been sitting and not being driven . A photo album from the previous owner and restoration is included in this sale . Gauges work, glass is fin, think you ll like it very much, I do but can't use it anymore . Dominic 917-862-7418. Will do my best to work with your transporter on logistics .

December 1, 2016. This morning I was able to get the Mga into reverse. A kind bidder who had an exact car had a similar issue with the reverse and told me this trick : with the engine runnin, put the car in second gear than shift to revers, it worked . Point bein, temporarily it can be shifted that way but I'm still selling as is condition so Please consider the cost of having that looked at and possibly repaired in your bid. Want the buyer to be happy with this purchase with no surprises. Thank you
