2004 Saab 9-3 Aero Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2004 Saab 9-3 Aero sedan. The 9-3 Aero is the most aggressive performance version of the 9-3 offered in this generation. On the outside, styling is subtle and makes it hard to know the performance nature of this sedan. I would rate the exterior of this 9-3 Aero to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a gorgeous sedan. She is finished in Silver Metallic over two tone charcoal sport interior. The Silver Metallic finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Saab, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about on a vehicle of this age and mileage. The worst I can say is that the front lower lip spoiler is a little scraped up, which is pretty normal for an older Saab. The body lines up nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All the body trim and cladding are present and look good. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The headlights show some normal hazing, but the factory xenon HID headlights still light up the road very well. The alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully so you can see how clean this 9-3 Aero looks. I would rate the interior of this 9-3 Aero to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for their age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets show well for their age throughout the interior. The deeply bolstered leather sport seats are supple, comfortable and comfortable. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and working properly. The sound is good and there are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent settings for both the driver and passenger. It is too cold to personally verify that the air conditioner is working properly but I can tell you that the heater works well. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Saab looks. Mechanically, this 9-3 Aero appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.0L turbocharged high output engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks but I do believe the valve cover leaks oil. If you let the car sit a while, she'll let out a little puff from normal seeping. Again, nothing out of the ordinary for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. You can feel a little wear in the front bushings over harsh surfaces, which is common for an older Saab. Steering and braking feel good, too. In fact, this car handles very well and is a blast to drive. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. When you really open it up, you can feel it break up a little under load...which is, again, common as these cars age. She's probably due for a routine tune-up (plugs, coil packs, etc.) so I'd start there. Despite being due for service, she gets around quite well. These engines are remarkably smooth and powerful for a four cylinder. And yet, because they are a four cylinder, they get excellent fuel economy. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. These cars offer an excellent value to the discerning buyer. As a car dealer, I can drive pretty much anything I want...and my daily driver for the past 6 months has been an 07 Saab 9-3 Aero. I absolutely love these cars. They aren't super hard to maintain and there is an impressive amount of online support through forums, owners clubs, etc. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
