2008 Shelby GT GT Premium Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed. Here is a real gem. With 4,980 actual one-owner miles, this 2008 Shelby GT convertible is essentially a new car with an MSRP of $50,355. It is nicely optioned and exceptionally rare, being one of only 197 automatic transmission convertibles produced in 2008. The Shelby GT is not to be confused with the much more common GT500 that is completed on the Ford assembly line. By comparison, the Shelby GT was produced in much smaller numbers from 2007-2008 only, and was directly modified by Shelby American in Las Vegas. You may remember the first Shelby GT being auctioned by Barrett-Jackson for a whopping $600,000. This Shelby GT was purchased new at Auffenberg Ford in Illinois. I have the original Ford window sticker, Shelby window sticker, owner manuals, warranty supplements, and all related literature and receipts. Both Shelby plaques are in place on the dash and under the hood. This car is also in the Shelby Registry and includes a certificate signed by Carroll Shelby. All good things to enhance collector value. This car is downright beautiful with its Vista Blue paint and silver stripes. The Shelby package also includes a hood scoop, billet grille insert, front and rear fascias, side scoops, 18" premium wheels, hood pins, and badging / lettering throughout. It also includes race-inspired suspension upgrades, performance exhaust, and engine calibration. I especially like the car's stance; it sits much nicer (and handles better) than a factory Mustang GT. And not to be missed is the Shelby roll bar. The interior also looks like a new car. The leather trim sport seats, carpeting, floor mats, dash, steering wheel, etc. are what you'd expect from a car with fewer than 5k miles. There are also nice options including the interior upgrade package, heated seats, HID headlights, and the awesome Shaker 1000 sound system. Everything remains stock throughout. A note about the air intake on this Shelby. Every non-supercharged Shelby GT I've seen has a Ford Racing air cleaner setup with an open-air filter. However, this particular car is exceptional in that it did not receive this change! The air box date code matches the car's build date; it was never removed by Shelby. To be sure, this car is a genuine Shelby GT listed in the Shelby registry. I have the original Ford and Shelby window stickers and the purchase paperwork from its single owner who states it has never been modified in any way. It has clearly never been in an accident. Still, the car retains its original air box arrangement. Very unique! Note I have procured a complete air intake setup from a Shelby GT that was converted to a supercharger. I can include / install this setup if interested. This car has all the makings of a collectible: true Shelby heritage, limited production, good documentation, excellent condition, and low miles. Whether you just want a collectible Shelby piece or a performance Mustang you can drive and enjoy, this car will get it done.
