Subaru Legacy Wagon 2.5i Special Edition
2006 Subaru Legacy Description
2006 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition Wagon
An 8-way power driver's seat and a dual-pane moonroof are the extra standard features found on the 2006 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition Wagon. It also distinguishes itself from its sedan counterpart by adding roof rails, intermittent rear wipers to go with the front ones, and a 60/40 split-fold rear seat that expands the trunk to 62 cubic feet. The 2006 Legacy 2.5i Special Edition Wagon sits on 17-inch wheels and gets its power from a 175-hp, 2.5-liter flat-4 engine and choice of 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. ABS brakes, all-wheel drive with limited slip differential, a rear spoiler (on the top of the liftgate), and dual front, side and head airbags are all standard.
Power windows, locks, and mirrors, cruise control, a CD player, trip computer, and keyless entry are part of the standard equipment. The trunk area features cargo tie-downs and a cargo cover, and there are many storage compartments scattered throughout the wagon. Specific to the wagon, you can add various rail attachments for bikes and skis, crossbars, a cargo tray, and additional cargo nets. A short-throw shifter, electrochromatic mirror, and leather trim are also optional. Good solid handling is a hallmark of the 2006 Legacy 2.5i Special Edition Wagon, and owners also like the powerful engine and all the storage options.
Engine -Engine and engine bay are very clean. Fluids are all at proper levels. Everything works properly, and the previous owner seemed to have maintained it well. I apologize that it did not come with any records when I got it. I was told when I purchased the car that it was owned by a Subaru technician. I have no way to confirm that, but in general it's a very clean engine bay for the age/miles.
Exterior -Paint looks very good. No rust anywhere in the paint or on the body/components/running gear. It's been a southern car (originally purchased in Georgia) and has held up well.Front bumper shows road wear/rock chips but is otherwise undamaged. The plastic garnish on the tailgate (above license plate/below window) is cracked. It's plastic and a replacement can be found fairly simply but it's a minor cosmetic issue. So the paint looks good and is rust-free but shows wear in the front endThe roof has some minor hail damageWindows are tinted. Passenger windows have lighter tint than cargo area
Interior -Looks great! It's very clean. Has a JVC bluetooth media-input head unit (USB/AUX/BT)Carpet and Subaru OEM rubber all weather floormats included
TiresTires have about 1000 miles on them. Purchased new and installed at Firestone. They also aligned the car when the tires were installed
Has a Class I trailer hitch. Can be used for bike racks/small trailers/etc
I bought this car for myself but will now need to have a car with automatic transmission to share w household.
Regarding the title and mileage listings in the vehicle report: both SC and NC do not require mileage to be stated after a certain age/miles. For some reason the previous owner stated 185,000 miles on the title. The odometer reads 176,375 as of today. The previous owner stated that it was a clerical error w the DMV. Stating the mileage at an SC DMV is done by owner's choice when not required so either the owner or the DMV issued it incorrectly. The odometer is correct.
Car is sold as-is and I reserve the right to end auction early as it is also listed locally. If you'd like it shipped you'll have to arrange that.
