I'm sad to be selling my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI; let my loss be your gain! My wife's medical bills are climbing and I need to sell my beloved car rather than fix her up proper. I will do my best to give you an accurate picture of what you are looking at and any work that is needed that I am aware of. All mods were installed by a professional shop.
History:I purchased this beautiful car back in 2007 and left it stock. It was purchased used from a car dealership in Schaumburg, ILIn 2009 the short block was replaced and a new one installed/built to handle more power. That's around when the new turbo and other mods were installed (they were installed after the break-in period).The car was driven until later in 2011 when engine troubles (never diagnosed) caused the car to be parked.
Even though it's been parked for a while, the exterior is in pretty good shape. I would routinely still wash/wax the car to keep the paint looking good and use a car cover. The front bumper however is pretty chipped from rocks and would need to be replaced/repainted for anyone wanting a super clean look.Right now the interior is in pretty darn good shape.
Car previously made 351hp/360tq on 93 tuned very conservatively.

Issues:Car does not currently run. The engine will probably need to be opened up to properly diagnose the problem. Sadly I don't have more information as the car was parked once the engine trouble began and never fully investigated.
It does not have an air conditioner (it was removed to install the FMIC). Passenger front rim has curb rash. One rim has been partially sanded down to prep it to be repainted (passenger rear rim). Tires will need to be replaced. Rear Rotors need to be replaced. Rear strut clunk (stock struts). Front bumper and one fog light cover need to be repainted. Additionally, the car has been parked since 2011, so all of the typical fluid changes etc would need to be performed.
As the car is not running, the buyer will need to arrange a way to have it moved(towed) after payment has been verified. A $250 deposit will be required within 24 hours of the auction ending.If need be, I can be flexible in how quickly the car needs to be picked up after receiving full payment.
