PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING!!!
You are viewing (and hopefully bidding on) a used 2001 Subaru Impreza L Wagon. It has a 2.2L engine, and a 5 speed manual transmission. Lets get down to brass tacks here... This car is being sold AS IS, and NEEDS WORK!!! I have owned this car for about a year and it was my daily driver until 12-01-2016. It was being driven over 100 miles a day for the past 7 months. This car DOES RUN and DRIVE, but due to the mechanical issues I recommend having the vehicle towed upon winning the auction. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. SHIPPING IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY.
Known issues:
1. The clutch is slipping, and making noise (possible bearing, not sure).2. The engine has been running poorly, and hesitating when accelerating.3. Upon stating the car the other day I noticed a strong fuel smell from the exhaust.4. Car was hopping when turning at low speeds (pulling into a parking spot). I was told it could be the center differential going bad. It stopped doing this a couple months ago.5. Tires are choppy.6. Carpet has been removed.7. Rust on right rear quarter panel, and on left rear rocker panel (near rear lift point).8. 2 small chips in front windshield.9. Rear window washer doesn't work, there is a break in the line that runs above the headliner.10. Small hole in headlight from rock hitting it.11. Front brakes are new, but aftermarket, therefor they squeak a lot.12. Dent in left rear door.
The heat works, as does the A/C (at least it did as of 10/2016)The car has a valid NJ inspection good thru 2/2018
I am listing/selling this car as a project car because as you can see from my description, it's a bit of a project. As I stated above, this car DOES RUN AND DRIVE, BUT I DON'T SUGGEST DOING SO UNTIL IT'S BEEN REPAIRED!!!
