This car is in generally good condition but has some issues that the buyer should take into consideration.All the problems I am aware are listed below.The car will be sold as-is.

Problem areas:
The engine has a slight rod knock.It is light knock now but will get worse over time and will eventually need attention.

One of the rear struts are leaking and both must be replaced.

The radiator has a minor leak in the seal of the top cap.It is a slow leak but antifreeze needs to be added once in a while.

The subframe under the engine has serious rust.This is a U shaped frame that is not part of the chassis and can be replaced.Rust on this subframe is a common problem with these cars.The rust is serious enough that the car may not pass inspection.

Other than the problems listed above the car is in good condition.The body and paint are good with only normal wear and tear of the car of this age.There are no signs of body rust.There is a small door ding on the driver side rear door (see photos).The paint on the trim under the door handles is peeling (see photos).The trunk has discolored areas from tape that used to protect the paint from a bike rack strap (see photo).Unlike most WRXs, this one has no rear spoiler.The interior is in very good shape.Everything works as expected.The floors have carpet mats and rubber mats that are in good condition.AC and heating system work well.A scan of the original sales sheet is included for a more complete description of the car.

The transmission shifts smoothly with no problems and there is no clutch slippage.The exhaust system from the cat back was replaced at 124,300 miles.The exhaust pipe to the muffler is stainless steel.The muffler is an after-market replacement for the original muffler.It is not a performance muffler.The wheels are in good condition but have the usual brake dust discoloration and a few scuffs.The tires (Hankook Ventus S1 noble2) have less than 5000 miles and have almost all of the original tread.These tires have a good balance of handling on dry or wet roads.It has a class III trailer hitch but the car was not used for heavy towing.Just the occasional trip to the local hardware store.

This is a one owner, non-smoker car. The car is still driven occasionally so the mileage will be a few miles more upon delivery than is listed above.

This car is available for local pickup only.I will meet the buyer at a local auto tag service to transfer the title.

Deposit is due within two days and can be paid using PayPal.The balance is due in cash upon delivery of the car.
