1978 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

1978 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 4X4 - RARE COLOR - RESTORED BY LEGENDARY MOTORCAR COMPANY

This 1978 FJ40 hardtop model is fully restored and is powered by a smooth running F20 4.2 liter inline six-cylinder engine with 4 speed manual transmission and power steering. Combined with legendary toughness of the Toyota 4-wheel drive system with low range transfer case and 4.11 gearing, these trucks can climb almost anything. For added insurance, this formidable truck has a heavy duty front bumper mounted winch, rated at 8000 lbs. of pulling capacity with towing rings. Making this particular FJ extra special is the factory correct Mustard yellow paint, with black vinyl interior, locking center console and rear fold down jump seats. This eye catching livery adds to the purposeful look of this FJ, which starts with its heavy duty removable roof rack, rear bumper mounted swing away spare tire and rear towing hitch receptor with towing hook. The extra equipment included consist of a heavy duty rack mounted projection lighting up top, front bumper mounted driving lights, large axe, win gasoline cans, shovel, Gorilla case and heavy duty jack to get you out of a jam. A front mounted winch has been added as well.

THIS FJ DRIVES AS GOOD AS ANY FJ OUT THERE. IT HAS DISC BRAKES IN THE FRONT AND DRUMS IN THE REAR. IT HAS GOOD ALIGNMENT AND BALANCE. IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY LEAKS, DOES NOT SMOKE, AND IT STARTS RIGHT UP EVERY TIME.

THE FEW FLAWS THAT I CAN SEE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

A FEW MINOR IMPERFECTIONS IN THE PAINT

THE ROOF MOUNTED LIGHTS DO NOT SEEM TO BE HOOKED UP AND OPERATING

THERE IS SOME MINOR SURFACE RUST ON THE MOUNT FOR THE WINCH.
