1997 Toyota Land Cruiser 40th Anniversary Limited Edition
1997 Toyota Land Cruiser Description
Toyota Land Cruiser 1997. It's the 40th Anniversary Limited Edition. It Runs Well.. Looks Great. This vehicle asks nothing and it gives everything. It always starts. Even after sitting in the garage for weeks at a time. It has a nice commanding ride. It has differential locks, auto climate control, etc. You can tell that the car has been a pride of the owners before me.. as it has almost no scratches or nicks in the paint. We took the bug guard off the vehicle just to view the car as it is. The front has no chips in the paint.. in the hood or below the headlights. We first got the car.. with problems to the right side of the car. The prior owner mistakenly drove it off the road and into a guard rail.. scraping the right fender and flare and putting a crease in the right side door at the bottom. We had the door replaced with another landcruiser door that was already green.. and the body shop made it look like new again.. Hence, the reason for the rebuilt salvage title. We could not find a 40th anniversary in green.. so when we found the Land Cruiser, we were thrilled. There are several chips in the windshield, and one of them is pretty much in your line of site. But the windshield has no sign of cracking, so we have left it alone. A new windshield is not very much. The tires are michelins, and have 60 percent of their tread left. The exhaust is quiet. The truck shifts well. The wheels have no scrapes or nicks on them.. the door lock, windows, sunroof, etc all work well. I purchased it in Atlanta Georgia..hoping that it did not have much rust. and found out that the prior owner drove between Connecticut and Atlanta. The bottom looks to have a little rust, but overall looks good.. The mechanics who have worked on it have said it is solid. The carfax shows it spent its first 80 thousand miles of its life in southern states. We purchased a lifetime alignment, after having new tie rods placed on the car. The front wheel bearings were replaced as well.. all with toyota parts. If anybody would desire to drive it, please call us at (440)759-9683. The bottom seat cover on the drivers seat was replaced with a real close duplicate of the original leather. We cant tell what it is made out of. Our assumption is that the old seat cover at the bottom was cracking just as the rest of the drivers seat has cracks in the leather. I see it happening a little less on the passenger seat and a little in the back seat as well. Overall.. the inside of the car seems pretty decent for its year. The differential locking system works fine. You can hear the motor work as you turn the switch on. The anti lock braking system seems good. It runs fine and drives great.. I hope you have a nice day.
