1985 Toyota Other Pickup SR5 4x4 Xtra Cab Description

Up for sale is quite possibly the most original and low mileage Toyota Pickup in the country. This is the one everyone wants, the first year of EFI (22RE) and the last year of the solid front axle. This Pickup was bought new in Springfield, Illinois in 1985 by an older lady and she was the only owner of this truck until just a few months ago. Her neighbor bought it off of her, and I bought it from her neighbor. I have copies of the original title in her name, and her name is on all of the receipts from day 1! It has only had 200mi put on it since she sold it to her neighbor a few months ago. When I got the truck from him, I brought it back to TN and did some regular maintenance. I replaced the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor with all new Toyota OEM parts from Beaman Toyota. I also went ahead and did all of the fluid services. Transmission, transfer case, and both axles (oil was done prior to me picking it up). I also had a rebuilt set of fuel injectors installed as one was sticking ever so slightly from sitting. I also hunted down a full date code matching set of original BFG K0 tires as the truck had 20….yes, 20 year old tires on it that still looked new but were very loud and hard. This truck starts, runs, and drives like brand new! It really is like driving a time machine. All lights, switches, gauges all work as they should. The AC blows ice cold, the radio work too, although the tuning knob is a bit sticky. This truck is absolutely 100% stock in every way! 100% original paint, interior, glass, floor mats, etc! It was always garaged, never driven in the snow or rain, and is an absolute time capsule! It comes with both original keys (and 1 new copy) original books, original Japanese build sheet, original tool kit, original jack, and all service records from day one! The pictures tell the story of this truck quite well. It is absolutely breathe taking! The paint is exceptional and has never been wet sanded or buffed. The truck is absolutely dead straight. There are only a handful of very small blemishes which I have taken pictures of. The spot welds above the back fenders have shrunk over time which is a very common tonight issue. The dimples are perfect circles and they really show the originality of the truck. Also, the bed is remarkably clean and free from dents and signs of wear. The most common place for these pickups to rust is along the seams in the bed and there are 3 very small rust bubbles on the left side seam on the floor of the bed. I have taken pictures of all 3 areas. I applied POR-15 to these nickel sized areas and then touch up paint over the top in order to freeze them in their tracks. There are no holes or current rust issues. This is a SURVIVOR and only original once! Please call or e-mail with any questions.
