1992 Toyota MR2 Turbo Description

Hello all, I'm selling my highly modified MR2 to make room in the garage. The car is in really nice condition for the year, and just about everything has been replaced. I have noted everything I know about the car and all currently installed modifications will stay with the car. Please fully review the details below and contact me with serious inquiries only. Miles: 188xxx on chassis, 30k on engine build, 30k on suspension, 20k on clutch, 100k on LSD transmission.
Exterior: Super White / T Top
Interior: Blue, Cloth
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual

Options installed: ABS, PW/PL, CC, PS

Title status: Clear, no accidents on carfax.


Condition report:

Exterior: 8/10. The paint is still glossy and looks good. No rust on the undercarriage as shown, and the rockers and door sills are in great shape. For full transparency, there was a small 1" surface rust area on the passenger rocker that has been cut out, repaired, and resealed.


There are a couple rock chips and a door ding or two, and the rear bumper has a couple touched up areas as shown in the video. The wing has light bubbling area as most with original paint do.The car had a trunk mount intercooler cutout in the trunk at one point, but has been resealed with stainless and undercoated properly. The hood and front bumper paint is a very slight mismatch in color, noticeable under certain lights.


Interior: 8.5/10. The blue cloth interior still looks good for the year, no rips or tears like most other ones. There is a light tear in the vinyl on the driver door panel that can easily be replaced for cheap. Some signs of wear as shown in photos.


Mechanical: 8/10. The engine is built with specs listed below. It sounds great, runs great, and only leaks a few drops of oil ever few weeks due to an imperfect seal at the oil pan gasket. No gear grinds. The engine is very strong and has a lot of potential with a good tune.

Things to be aware of:


  • Rear CV boots are torn, common on lowered cars.

  • Oil pan gasket has a minor leak, could be re-sealed with sealant.

  • Oil level sensor damaged during build. Light comes on when oil is warm.

  • Power steering rack running in manual mode (better feel)

  • Windshield has etching from wiper blade.

  • AC Deleted, lines and controls still installed if you want to revert

  • Misc chips/scratches as the car is 25 years old

  • Paint isn't perfect match on bumper and hood as it faded differently than the rest of the car (was from JDM car)
