1995 Toyota T100 SR5 Description

My loss is your gain...if you have the mechanical skills to work on this Toyota 1995 T100 SR5 with ONLY 63,891 original miles. I bought this truck new from Toyota and feel the truck is becoming unsafe to drive due to a rusted frame, brakes and steering mechanicals. I do not have the skills, time or patience to sandblast, weld and POR-15 the undercarriage and repair the numerous rusted mechanicals, but it appears if someone has the time and knowledge to work on this project, they should have a very nice truck inthe long run. I'm told from a local body shop that the frame is mainly surface rust and that the Rusty Jones that was put on the truck when we first bought it may have helped, but per another local mechanic, the mechanicals are very rusted so I am selling this truck AS IS with NO WARRANTY for parts or as a fixer upper.
The truck actually runs, drives, and shifts great.The truck is registered and insured but our local emissions garage would not test the truck because the metal straps that hold the gas tank became so rusted they broke off. Now, I have racheting straps holding the tank in place. Based on this, even though the T100 is currently registered, I am selling the truck as it can't be registered in it's current condition.
The following should give a rough idea of the repairs needed, but I am not a mechanic, so other things may pop up as you make repairs:Needs a new gas tank, gas tank strapsand possibly gas lines. Gas lines are not currently leaking. Parking brake doesn't work and the ABS dashboard brake light is on. The check engine light is also on. There is a lot of flaking rust on the hubs, wheel and break areas. Again, the truck drives smoothly and the brakes work but my guess is the buyer will rebuild these areas and replace tires at some point. There are sqeaking sounds when driving and the mechanic said where the steering wheel meets the front end is rusted as well as much of the front end mechanicals. The metal sections where the shocks meet the frame are rusted and I tried to give an idea of the rust damaged areas in the pictures. The back bumper is badly rusted but the front bumper seems OK. The heater works like a champ but the air conditioner does not and may need re-charging. The rear differential seal shows signs of leaking and truck needs an exhaust pipe from the muffler back. The four wheel drive currently does not work...the mechanic believes it's the linkage. Again, the body shop said considering the undercarriage, the body is not bad as there is rust around the rear outer wheel walls. Power windows, mirrors, locks and lights work.
A non-refundable deposit isrequired at the end of the auction. The balance due is to be paid in cash upon pick up. Truck must picked upwithin one weekof auction close.The truck drives great but because of the undercarriage you may want to tow it at pick up.Please let me know if you have any questions.
