Hotchkis Tuning 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S Heavily Modified for Racing
2000 Toyota Celica Description
This is the ORIGINAL Hotchkis Tuning Celica! It started as a standard Gen-7 Celica GT-S (ABS, PS, PB, PW, PL, 6-speed manual, Cruise Control, Airbags, A/C, CD/Tape/Stereo, Sunroof, etc.) and was heavily modified for racing by John Hotchkis of Hotchkis Tuning. It has the full Molly Designs body kit, custom decal set by Molly Designs, full custom leather interior, carbon-fiber trim, custom hand-made gauge pods mounted above the instrument cluster with engine oil temperature and pressure gauges, Catz HID headlights, and the stubby Honda S-2000 stereo antenna. In addition, I have slaved the side-marker lights to flash with the turn signals. I also installed a Sign Wavez LED license-plate frame that will display any message that you want to program into it. It has the FULL Hotchkis TVS (Total Vehicle Suspension) race suspension (basically every part of the suspension was replaced with custom made Hotchkis Tuning parts), Stop-Tech 6-piston brake calipers and brake rotors, Advan Model 6 wheels, Prada Spec tires, Hotchkis Tuning front strut brace, custom one-piece rear strut brace, and a 4-point roll cage with attached fire extinguisher. I had the Blitz Supercharger kit for the Celica installed by Humble Performance, and a custom intercooler fabricated and installed by ToySpeed Racing, both here in Tulsa. In addition, it has heavy-duty racing half-shafts and a stainless-steel TRD exhaust. This vehicle was featured in an article in the August 2002 issue of Sport Compact Car. They tested 4 different Celicas, a stock one off the showroom floor, the magazine’s Celica used for testing mods and writing articles, a TRD Celebrity Race Celica, and mine. The magazine conducted 5 tests, and in all but one my car annihilated the other 3, even the TRD one. The only test in which it didn’t devastate the competition was the drag race (since it had several mods and the 4-point roll cage, it was heavier than the other 3). Since then, that problem has been eliminated by the aforementioned Blitz supercharger! I can send serious parties copies of the article for them to read page after page of the magazine singing my Celica’s laurels. Quote: “In fact, Hotchkis tells tales of dicing toe-to-toe with a current model BMW M-3 at the same test track…to verify this, we dug up the lap times produced by the Mitsubishi EVO VII we tested last month at the same track. Turns out, Hotchkis’ Celica is damned fast, cranking out lap times nearly a second quicker than Mitsubishi’s supercar…” And yes, you did read correctly: this vehicle has less than 12,000 original miles on it. I bought it from Hotchkis Tuning in 2002 and have since only put about 2000 miles on it. It has been garage-kept since I bought it. It has always had Redline racing motor oil in it, too. The value of this car should be evident by now, but if there are any questions at all, do not hesitate to contact me.
