Up for sale is my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser with a recently installed block and head that have 105k on them. The ad lists the mileage for the truck, which is about 212k.TONS of BRAND NEW parts from Toyota are also included!
The block and head with 105k on them were just installed by Irbis Offroad in Denver. This wasn't a job done by a teenager in his backyard - Irbis is a very reputable mechanic and is highly regarded and desirable for working on these trucks. I have all the receipts. Here's what was done:
- Block and head have 105k
- NEW Toyota Head Gasket (head was decked at a machine shop)
- NEW Toyota water pump
- NEW Toyota oil pump
- NEW oil seals on...EVERYTHING! Rear main seal, front cover, valve cover, everything.
- NEW gaskets on intake and exhaust
- NEW fluids - coolant, power steering, etc.
- NEW belts
- NEW powerstop rotors/pads on the rear, and comes with them for the front.
- FIVE BRAND NEW GOODYEAR DURATRAC 315/75/16. They still have the fuzzy stuff on them.
- 2.5" OME lift
- A/C absolutely works, but I didn't have Irbis recharge it, because I live in one of the coldest places in the USA.
- Block painted and cleaned
- Cams re-finished
- ARB bull bar
- Diehard Platinum 950CCA battery
- NEW Sequoia alternator with Photoman bracket!
It's triple locked and comes with a ton of spare parts, including an entire front axle kit with Koyo bearings and Powerstop pads/rotors. I have the second and third row seats, but they're not in the truck. The interior has rubber mats in it, not a cloth interior - the interior was not in great shape, but new ones are available cheaply on craigslist. I wasn't interested in putting a new one in, as I liked the rubber better. The fender flares are also gone, and I was intending to just bedline it, which I'd recommend for the person buying it. To answer your question "Why don't you do it?â€, it's because I live in an extremely cold climate and I don't have a garage.
This is an awesome truck. You know how when you get a new truck, you have to baseline it, change all the fluids, etc? Yeah, you don't have to do that. This truck needs nothing. Change the oil in 3000 miles and forget it. I have absolutely nothing to hide about this truck, if you want a photo of anything, ask and I'll get it for you.
I'm selling it because a) I'm joining the military, and b) I have some debt to pay off, and those two don't go together, unfortunately. Come take a look or test drive in this truck - we really cared about it, and spared no expense getting it back into shape. No shortcuts were taken - this truck is maintained to Toyota standard. All you need to do is wheel it.
This truck is for sale locally as well, and I reserve the right to cancel this auction or sale up until after the auction has ended, if I have not yet accepted payment. The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping, if they are not doing local pickup.
SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS.
