1980 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

Hello you guys, I am selling my extremely rare 1980 BJ41 FactoryDiesel Cruiser. All original SEATS, front and rear. Toyota chose the seat pattern and mine was the LX version. They only made this 41 for the Japan market. VIN #BJ41009808 / PLEASE REVIEW VIDEO: https://youtu.be/DId4zryuzFY
I collect them, have owned over 40 Land Cruisers since 1975, have restored one completely ( nut and bolt restoration )and always atleast refresh them during the time that I own them. I try to improve themin any way that Ican but always stock condition.Again, please note, this Land Cruiser is NOT completely restored but refreshed. It is a real beautiful classic Japanese Domestic Market Land Cruiser, an LX version.Whenever I buy one though I am extremely careful and have had many years of experience so that I don't make mistakes. This applies to this 1980 BJ as well. Very nice condition. COMPRESSION on this motor is 475-500-500-475 psi. That is almost new compression ( new being 500 psi straight across ). The Cruiser only has 92600 miles on it. This Diesel has always been well maintained, in fact 80% of the Land Cruiser is ORIGINAL PAINT and it shows nicely even after 38 years. You can also see from the interior pics that the DASH PAD is intact with no cracking.Very unusual. The cruiser does not leak. It also has FACTORY AC that is cold and working properly. The cruiser is a 4 speed, no adverse smoking from the diesel, the 4wd works perfectly, clutch and brakes both perfect condition. In my opinion the Cruiser could go back and forth to Alaska tomorrow with no issues. The UNDERCARRIAGE is SOLID, no rust, BODY MOUNTS are all solid, FRAME is solid. No issues. All LIGHTS work, no electrical issues, all knobs on the dash function as they should, all the gauges work properly, SPEEDO AND ODOM both operating perfectly. The INTERIOR seats are ALL ORIGINAL fabric and in very beautiful condition. Toyota used this fabric in this LX version of the BJ41. Very nice, extremely rare and can't be replaced. The Tires are brand new ( 32 x 11.50 x 15 ) BFGOODRICH ALL TERRAIN T/A. The 5 steel wheels andhub capsare STOCK TOYOTA and are ALL BRAND NEW. I have receipts for all the work that I have done on the Land Cruiser and will pass those along to the buyer. I have the original interior door panels that I WILL give to the winning bidder. I put in brand new interior door panels since the originals have holes cut out for speakers. But again, I have the original panels and will include them in the sale in case the winning bidder wants to use them in the future or sell them. They are worth a lot. The 2B DIESEL ENGINE gets around 28-30 mpg. These diesel cruisers do NOT go very fast ( 75 on the freeway ) but can CLIMB ANYTHING, wonderfulTORQUEand are extremely rugged stout engines. Japan uses the same engine in their mini busses, their mining generators and their forklifts. Extremely rugged well built motor. In fact theB, 2B and 3B Toyota Diesels are among the top ten engines that Toyota ever produced so if taken care of this diesel will easily last 500k miles.NOTE!!!!! I DO HAVE AN APPRAISAL OF A 1982BJ42that I can send to you guys upon request if you would like to see some value comps. This cruiser, in my opinion, is even nicer than the one that we got appraised last year but the appraisal can at least shed light onthe value and to show you guysthat I am in line with pricing.Right now it only has 92600 miles on it so the buyer will be good to go for a long time. Not sure what else I can tell you about the Land Cruiser. Ibought it in Japan and hadit shipped to me here in California. It has beenproperly registered and Titledin SouthDakota. The registration is current and Title is completely clear and ready for transfer. I can't give the Cruiser away as I have a lot invested in it but based on its rarity and its condition I think I have priced it fairly. As many of you know, these cruisers continue to go up in value and are excellent investments if left in stock condition and are kept covered or garaged and maintained over the years. This Cruiser just had ALL FLUIDS changed out ( oil, coolant, front and rear differential fluid, transmission and transfer case oil, compression test just done and valve adjustment ). NOTHING needs to be done right now to enable you to drive it full time. All good to go. The cruiser is 24 volt, right hand drive, 4 speed ( by the way the transmission and transfer case in these diesel cruisers are fail safe, very very reliable!! ). I have access to ALL the parts you will ever need. Winning buyer can always contact me when in need of parts. I have many Land Cruiser owners that contact me to assist in finding them parts. No worries. My pleasure. One place that is great to buy from is www.sor.com in Chatsworth, California. Not to worry about parts. I will be posting a VIDEO tomorrow allowing you guys to hear the cruiser at idle and cruising speed through all 4 gears. ANY QUESTIONS at all please do not hesitate to contact me. I am offering full disclosure and just want to find a good home for this one. Any detailed pics that you may want to see just let me know. As mentioned, I have owned about 40 Land Cruisers since 1975 and choose all of them carefully since they are part of my collection so in my opinionyou will begetting a great cruiser. Thanks you guys and please make me an offer. I have other projects that I would like to start, a kid that just started college so I am open to some negotiation. Thanks, Dave Woolley

NOTE TO BIDDERS: I was asked about the seats and if they are original factory seats. Theyare the original factory seats. They were considered the LX package for the BJ41, the pattern chosen by Toyota as this Land Cruiser was only built for the Japanese market. Hope this info is helpful. Those seats are extremely rare.
