2001 TOYOTA RAV4 EV (pre-dates TESLA)
For sale is a classic 100% electric car like the one that is shown in the movie "Who Killed The Electric Car?" Many celebrities have owned this car model, including Tom Hanks (see photo).
It is still in fully functional condition and is used daily. It has an excellent battery pack and the current range is 85 miles to 90 miles on a full charge. It even got 93 miles lately. Those miles are just down to the bottom of the green and don't include the extra 7 miles or so available in amber and red. The range depends on how you drive, temperature and road conditions.
Includes:
* Original white paint with original EV markings.
* Four new tires (a $650 value).
* Wall 220v EVSE charger made specifically for this model with a 10 feet cord (see photo). Charges from near empty to full in about 5 hours.
* Built-in charging timer for starting a charge whenever you want to (like midnight to get the best rates).
* A J1772 port with on-board charger has been added - a $2,500 value (see 2 photos). Very useful for extended trips beyond 85 miles. Plug in at any standard J1772 charger when on the road.
* Adaptor that allows you to charge from a regular 110v outlet if 220v is not available while on the road.
* Alpine stereo radio/CD player with Bluetooth, Pandora and auxiliary port. (a $300 value). Comes with its own CD and manual.
* Regenerative braking system (charges battery while braking and also reduces brake wear).
