This bug fires right up and cruises down the road with the top down just fine. Emergency Brake works.
Factory 1600 Motor w/ 4 speed manual transmission. Odometer says 85,000.
Body is in decent conditio, it has blemishes here and there. The passenger front chrome trim is uninstalled missing clips but included. The bumpers could use some steel wool to clean em up. The windshield is great as is all other glass. The knob is missing from the driver door vent opening window.
Interior is in great condition as well. Seats are a little " Flat " from sitting on them. Door panels have some aftermarket speakers cut into them. The speaker grills fell off but are also included. The Targa ( name brand ) tape player am / fm radio works fine. The dash has some wood trim velrco'd to it? The e brake handle is a nice wood piece. There is a console that is also wood laminate? That is quite useful. Dash is in great shape as well.
There is some rust in the rear of the floor pans, hole in passenger rear in front of back seat. The driver rear also has some rust. The floor pans are $44 each online.
There is some visible rust inside the rear fender wells facing forward of the Beetle. I tried to get good pictures of them but it was dark. The passenger side is worse than the driver side. I am told this is the bod, of the car, not the frame? Personal inspection of the condition of the car is encouraged before bidding.
Car is sold AS IS - in Lincoln Nebraska 68516. I realized that if i keep this car in the garage, my daily driver car would not have a garage spot for the winter.
My kids LOVE this car - it gets alot of attention driving around with the top down. A lot of smile, waves and of course " SLUG BUGS "
This car is listed locally for sale for $5000. Auction could end at anytime due to local sale.
