1963 Volkswagen Dune Buggy Description

It has a recently rebuilt 1973 1600 cc [1.6l] vw air cooled engine that has been ported to around 1650cc and operates on a 1963 VW beetle chassis. Carburetor was replaced with the appropiate solex carb. which was professionally rebuilt and upgraded with brass fittings all around. The distributor and ignition system was replaced with a Pertronix Ignitor 11 electronic unit with vacuum and centrifugal advance. New rear tires, a Freeway Flyer transaxle, scat short shifter, and new H4 headlights. Also new tie rods, tie rod ends, steering damper, steering box, steering coupler. king pins. link pins and bearings, also has thermostatic dip stick installed.The roll cage is a 1.25 steel cage. The current paint job is Plastidip, it is a removable plastic coating with a matte finish.Pans are in great shape with zero rust.
