2005 VW Passat TDI
This car is in stunning condition as it has just has a lot of work done to it. I had planned on keeping it for another year or two but as it is as good as condition as it can be,I will move it on.
We are the second owner of this car and it was purchased from the original owner in 2010, This was my wife's car and gently driven by her for the last 6 years.
The car fax reveals two accidents, both were "non impact" type of accidents and, as both were the fault of others, a police reports was filed so the other car owner insurance paid.
First accident was in a parking lot where an elderly gentleman rolled into the rear fender on the passenger side. The second was where a parked car behindthe Passatoutside my house miscalculated pulling out and damaged the rear bumper.
This recent rear bumper work coincided with a corrosion warranty with VW (12 year Warranty on corrosion) and they were replacing a corroded front passenger fender and corrosion spots on the tailgate. While at the VW dealer, their tow truck backed into the front of the car and damaged the front bumper. So, the car now has new front and rear bumpers, new front passenger fender, all painted beautifully. Two new headlights to boot!!! The car looks new.
Mechanically it is also excellent recently having new performance brakes, new compressor, new alternator. In addition, the transmission was not changing gear properly a couple of years ago and I had a certified transmission shop replace the valve body and the gears change properly now. The tires are a little under half worn so have a good 10,000 + miles left on them.
The only two items from wear are the passenger side power door locks have intermittent operation (probably swap out the actuators) and the drivers seat has some leather wear as shown in the photos.
Other than that, this TDi starts on the button, drivels smoothly and still gets 35+ MPG on the highway.
This car is before the current VW diesel debacle and will give many years of great reliable service.
As the condition is so good, I am only a little flexible on the price. Please present serious offers with no ridiculous low balling.
