We areselling our awesome 1962 Euro beetle. We brought it to the US from Germany. We've had it for15 years, and decided it's time to let her go. Below are the details:
THE GOOD Entire floor restored in 2007 and it has never been driven in rain or bad weather. The seat upholstery is in good shape but showing somewear. We are including a new set of seatupholstery still in the box, same color. New carpet and floor mats were also installed with the new floor. We also had it painted thatawesome flame red and stone white in 2011.We also installed the red 3-point seat belts for all passengers for safety. Thecustom stereo set upis loud and soundsgreat! The EPMI style wheels are only a few years old and are in perfect condition (polished aluminum). I just replaced the starter this weekend so it fires right up. The motor is not the original1200 cc, but a much more powerful 1600cc from a later model super beetle.I've made many 3+ hour trips to the beach and back with no issues.I also replaced the old exhaust about 6 months ago. Themotor is nothing fancy, but does what it's supposed to do. I'm including thehomemade tool box thatlooksso good inside, plus the original manual. TheGerman warning triangle and first aid kits isincluded as well.
NEEDS The paint looks great from afar, but is starting to show some chipping in the rain channels. When we had it painted, we usedrecent Dodge colors so thatfinding touchuppaints would be easy and can be purchased at any auto parts store. I just rewired the horn, but it's not working as of now. The car does not have heat or AC since I have only driven it in beautiful sunny weather. The headliner is also loose and needs to be tightened.
