2005 Volkswagen Passat Description

Rare 2005 VW Passat GLS 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo diesel wagon (TDI).All 2005 Passats were manufactured prior to VW's emissions tampering, this vehicle falls within the legal federal emission limits. Avg 40 mpg highway, 28 mpg city.
New engine (short block) installed at 96,368 miles. Less than 65,000 miles on new engine. New engine was replaced at a cost of $8381.40 including a new water pump and timing belt. Maintenance in past two years listed below with a total cost of over $3000. Great care has been placed in maintaining this vehicle, 100-mile daily commute to isolated work station necessitated detail.

"Hi-Yo Silver" is fully loaded w/ over $1000 worth of optional extras - leather, heated seats, premium stereo with MP3 player and CD/cassette player, cruise, steering wheel controls, wood trim, power windows/locks, and retractable sunroof. *Flushed + replaced transmission fluid (Pentosin ATF1), filter, pan seal - 133,799 miles

*Replaced A/C control unit, tensioner kit, belt - 142,741 miles.

*Replaced decoupler pulley - 144,709 miles

*Replaced timing belt, water pump, thermostat, tensioners, coolant flange, idler pulley -146,554 miles

*Replaced brake pads (ceramic OEM) and rotor, plus bearings - 158,654 miles.

Regular interval oil changes using only high quality synthetic oil.
Nearly all mileages were highway miles from daily 100-mile commute on I-10 and CR 12 ( note brakes were replaced for FIRST time at over 158,000 miles). Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus tires w/ Discount Tire replacement/rotation warranty transferrable to new owner. Non-smoker. Silver exterior w/ black interior. Interior and leather in good to excellent condition, new leather on front driver's seat. Handles very well. Car detailed recently, headlights are clear with no fogging.

NOTE: check emissions warning lighthas appeared with a torque converter clutch code - P0741.It wasinspected via the ALLDATA Repair S3000 system. Corrective action was to check sensor for transmission output RPM, check pressure regulator valves, and engine speed RPM sensor.R&R speed sensor was replaced at 133,540. Car is running smoothly at present time.
