1982 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Campmobile Van Camper 3-Door Description

1982 Westfalia Vanagon fully equipped camper with lots of original extras and low miles. I am the second owner and haven't had the time to drive it as much as I would have liked so I guess it needs to find a new home!
Original 70 HP pancake engine with twincarburetorsto replace the original mechanical fuel injection that wasnotorious for having problems.Equippedwith an automatictransmissionthat shifts smoothly with no problems; also equipped with cruise control but have never used it.Has fairly new tires, brakes, upgraded suspension, brake master cylinder and booster. Also installed in the last two weeks were anew Bosch alternator, all new fuel lines, and a new battery along with some other minor adjustments as needed.Has factory A/C which I understand is pretty rare, although the belt has been taken off to free up engine power it should work fine once reconnected and charged.Engine was rebuilt at around 100,000 miles for normal maintenance and shows about 25,450 miles on the odometer since it wasrebuilt. Engine is tight and runs very well. Some minor surface rust but nothing through the metal.Very clean underneath with no rust.
Super nice original interior to include all surround curtain and even one for the back window as well as a screen for the sliding door which is all factory.Also includes a original dealer folding metal ladder for the upper bunk that has never been seen from what I've been told.Has both original manuals, two original ignition keys, and an exterior water lock key as well.Propane powered stove works, Refrigerator works, sink needs a fuse or perhaps a new pump, also has an extraauxiliarybattery for camping under driver's seat.Equippedwith the original VW cassette radio that works fine.Original canvas tent which is in good condition and has been treated with a waterproof coating. Onlydiscrepancy isa small area towards the front where it has worn thin from rubbing against the roof latch. Could be easily fixed with a patchbut we will let its next owner decide.
