1980 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description

Hi there,
I bought this VW about a month ago with the intentions to bring her up to a daily driver status and use for roadtrips around the southwest. I've since done some simple maintenance to get her running well and some good deep cleaning! This bus is an automatic, which some people may not prefer, but these transmissions were built well and can be driven by anyone who doesn't know how to drive stick too!
Some of the photos were before I cleaned it up a bit, so please go through all the pictures. I will try to add a few more pics when the weather clears up.
The bus has 166,656 miles on it. It has NO rust. The body is very nice, except for two small indents on both sides, as seen in the pictures.
I recently replaced all fuel lines in the engine bay, the fuel injection seals, the oil, the battery and completed a valve adjustment. I also put on a new pop top seal, luggage compartment seal, and four new outlet covers on the drivers side.
The van has the Boogie Woogie interior, which is very cool! Though worn in a few spots.
Many of the interior side panels have the paper covering torn off and would need to be replaced. All the westy compartments are in good shape however!
After all that, she passed smog with no problem. The smog was just last week, so it's good for 90 days or so.
The reason I'm selling is I didn't realize the lack of power these VW's have when it comes to road trips. I REALLY want to do a conversion with a Subaru engine and this air-cooled bus isn't the best example, as it isn't plumbed for the coolant.
I recently tore out the old carpet in aspirations to put wood floors down in the living area of the van. The rear seat was removed and the entire rear area was cleaned very well. (The appliances were not removed however) The rear seat is still removed, however can be re-installed if requested. I figured the new owner could chose which type of flooring they wanted, whether it be wood laminate or go back to carpet.
I have not had a chance to attempt to use the stove or fridge yet. I know the water line is not getting power at the moment. I also do not have the two tables for the bus.
I have the bill of sale from the previous owner, as well as a lost/duplicate title application. Should not be an issue to get registered. I'm happy to help in any way possible to get that situated.
Let me know if you'd like to see any specific photographs or if you'd like to come see it and take it for a spin. It starts up every time and drives very well.
For a buyer out of the area, I'd be happy to take it to a local VW shop for a PPI at the buyers cost. There are many around, but one excellent shop near me. If that is desired, please send me a message.
Thanks!
