Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg. I would rate the exterior of this Jetta to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking car. It is finished in black over black leather with dark tinted windows. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific VW, there is some clear coat peeling on the LR fender but that's about the worst I can say about it. The paint shines good overall and looks smooth. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show a little age but are presentable overall, and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would rate the interior of this Jetta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The leather seats show minimal wear and are very comfortable. Both front seats are heated. The factory stereo works properly and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. It's a little cool out to tell whether or not the air conditioner is working properly but the heater does a great job. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The worst I can say about the interior is that the tint is peeling from the bottom of the driver's window and should probably be removed or replaced.
Mechanically, this Jetta appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.5L inline five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are pretty good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels very strong. There were no idiot lights on during my road test. Accelleration is good...this little Jetta makes good power! The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the desirable five speed manual transmission are smooth and precise, as they should be. A word of caution to those looking for a VW of this age...the DSG automatic transmissions are time bombs. It's not a matter of if they'll go, it's a matter of when. If you follow my auctions, you'll notice that I only buy manual transmission VW's and I'd suggest you do the same. If you want a VW and can't drive stick, learn to. My only complaint about this car is a vibration in the steering at highway speeds...specifically around 70-75 mph. My first guess would be an out of balance wheel or maybe the beginnings of a bad tire. It doesn't feel horrible. I've put the last 100 miles on this Jetta with no issues, and it was mostly highway. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
