1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Description

Up for sale is an orange 4 speed manual transmission 1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia with black seats and door panels and tan carpeting and dash. I have owned this car for the last 4 years and am selling

because I have too many cars and don’t drive this one enough.

It has been meticulously taken care of. Everything on the car works and drives as it should. Under my ownership the car has always been garage kept and never seen snow and only occasionally has seen rain.

The car has always been maintained at Golz Motors in Deerfield Il. Golz is a high-end foreign car repair shop. I have complete maintenance receipts for all the work I have done to the car and they will be

supplied with the sale of the car.

The car has no dings or dents. The paint shines very nicely. It was repainted about 10 years ago. The car drives with no issues and easily gets to and cruises at 60 mph. The original radio was replaced with a

high-end pioneer receiver that includes amplifier, sub-woofer, and 4 high-end speakers. Both front seats, back bench, and door panels were reupholstered and recovered with high quality upholstery and

vinyl seat covers in May of 2013 from Mid America Motorworks. I replaced the lap seatbelts with 3-point retractable shoulder belts, for added safety, from Mid America Motorworks. No cracks or any type

of damage to the dash or seats. The windshield has no cracks or chips. The instruments were updated with a Phantom speedometer and tachometer and a voltage gauge and oil pressure gauge were added.

The original steering wheel was replaced a Grant GT steering wheel. All instruments and gauges work fine. All lights, turn signals, brake lights, horn, wipers, etc. work. All 4 wheels are updated (empi spoke)

and immaculate with no curb rash sporting all-season radial tires. I have the spare tire but do not have the jack or original tool kit. There is a roll bar in the car, for added safety, that could be removed if desired.

Solid floor pans underneath. Clear Illinois title in hand.

I just took car on a 50 mile trip with no issues. Drove like a dream. Had the car running at 60 mph for about 20 miles on the expressway. I had the car stored for the last 4 months due to Chicago winter.

I had the battery on a battery tender all winter and never started it in those 4 months. When I went to start the car, it started after 6 cranks and ran fine.

Here is a list of everything that I have done to the car since I have owned it. All work was done by Golz Motors and I have receipts for everything stated below.

The car is fun to drive and needs nothing at this time. The car was never smoked or eaten in. Car is sold as is with no warranty. I am more than willing to help but ultimately the buyer is responsible

for pickup and/or shipment of the car.

I have bought and sold many items on ebay over the last 20 years and have excellent feedback from over 1600 responses.

Cashier’s check from Chase bank is preferred and would expedite transfer of ownership. If you are local and would like to see the car in person and drive it, that could be arranged.
