2005 Volkswagen Beetle-New GLS Convertible 2-Door Description

Engine actually runs very good. 1.8L turbo. No problem with that. However, needs new transmission valve body. Drives great when cold, but starts to shift bad when hot. Typical failure mode of this trans. Many rebuilt units are available that fix the inherent problems. Transmission internals are very clean and in great shape. The original fluid showed no problem and pan was very clean when I opened it to check filter. Valve body currently removed. Will need tow.

GLS trim. PW, PL, PM, CC, AM/FM/CD w/changer. A/C works great. Heated leather seats for cold weather. Remote keyless entry. Strong brakes. All the electrical works as normal. All the windows work fine, either with master switch or individually. Both front auto down for open and close door works. Great radio with CD / 6-Changer.

Only 75k carfax verified actual miles. Great project for someone with some basic skill and some time. Probably ~$800 in parts all together.

Includes convertible cover and anti-wind screen that installs in the back seat area.

Current tags (8/2017), clear title in my name in hand ready to go.
