2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5L Description
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta. I would rate the exterior of this Jetta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in Reflex Silver over Gray leather interior with professionally tinted windows, which looks great. The silver finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about on this sedan. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the body trim and cladding is present and shows well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice, matching set of Michelin's with average tread all around. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Jetta. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how clean this Volkswagen looks. I would also rate the interior of this Jetta to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you open the door, you are greeted by a very well cared for and very well appointed interior. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. As with many older Mk5's, the headliner is sagging a little in the rear...but not a huge deal. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather (not pleather) seats are supple, comfortable and show virtually no wear. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds great. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It's too cold to tell first hand whether or not the air conditioner is working effectively but everything seems to be in working order. The optional rear sunshade raises and lowers smoothly with no issues. The heater works very well. In fact, the only bad thing I can say about the interior is that the latch handle to the glove box is broken off. The trunk is spacious and clean, too. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this Jetta. Mechanically, this Jetta appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.5L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and runs smoothly. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The engine makes great power and feels strong. I really, really like driving this car. If you follow my auctions, you'll notice that I tend to avoid Volkswagens with automatic transmissions...especially the DSG transmission. Volkswagen has never been good at making automatic transmissions...and the DSG is an absolute train wreck. I really like the 2.5L engine with a manual transmission behind it. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changer through the five speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This car is a fresh NEW VOLKSWAGEN TRADE and appears to have been respected and cared for by her previous owner, not neglected and beat like most. If you're looking for a really nice sedan that is a pleasure to own and drive, this Jetta should be at the top of your list. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
