2000 Volvo S70 GLT SE| | OK, ebayers. THIS. IS. IT. If you've been looking for a P80 Volvo, you've found the ultimate. Let me just put this as simply as I can. This is a ONE OWNER car with only 29k miles on the odometer. Don't adjust your sets, I actually just said TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND MILES. As I mentioned, this is a one owner car which was garaged and serviced regularly. It was purchased from and serviced by one of our local Volvo dealerships near Pittsburgh. Though it has low mileage, it was still used and serviced regularly. This car presents itself as an absolute time capsule. There are several things that make this car quite special, and I'll try to make sure that I list all of them for those that are not quite as familiar with these Volvos. These 98-00 S70s are developing quite a following among our customers, and we are constantly having people asking us to find nice examples of them (because of our reputation as a seller of volvos of this vintage). We often come across them, but rarely in such nice condition and NEVER with such low mileage. 2000 is the very last year for this proven body style. These cars were in production since the eary 90s (as the 850), and then from 1998-2000 they were lightly redesigned and made more luxurious and sold as the S70 and V70. These are arguably the most reliable Volvos ever made. In fact, the engine and transmission configuration in this car will have no problem eating all of the miles you throw at it. We have seen several of these with 300, 400, and even 500k miles! Now, on top of all of the things that make this 2000 S70 special, this is also very, very well optioned. It's stuffed with options like the Cold Weather Packge, Leather, Moonroof, Stability and Traction Control, and much more! This is as highly optioned as an S70 could ever get. It has everything except all wheel drive. The all wheel drive models, though excellent in winter weather, have fairly high-maintenance all wheel drive systems. This particular S70 gives you the best of both worlds in that it has all of these luxury features without the all wheel drive. The front wheel drive is also assisted with STC (stability and traction control) which helps prevent wheel spin on slippery surfaces like snow and ice. It also has a winter mode for the transmission which starts the car out in second gear to prevent wheel spin. The interior of this S70 is in very good condition. In fact, the condition is essentially BRAND NEW. The tan leather seats show virtually no wear and are incredibly soft. The car has the upgraded high-performance alpine/volvo sound system with 10 speakers and a CD/Cassette player. It's easy to use, and sounds excellent. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. These cars don't even come with cigarette lighters, just power outlets. This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags. The side airbags are part of a system called SIPS which stands for "Side Impact Protection System." This is a combination of high-strength door beams, specially designed door openings, and side airbags, which keeps the passengers safe in the event of a side impact. The rear seats fold down, and the passenger front seat also folds down for carrying very long cargo. Being a 2000, it also has WHIPS (Whiplash Protection System) which was introduced for the 2000 model year in the S70. The exterior of this S70 is in nearly flawless condition and is metallic silver in color. The paint on this car is in spectacular condition. It's like looking at a brand new car. There is no evidence that the car has been in an accident in the past. The car has very nice 16" alloy wheels which were exclusive to the 2000 GLT SE models. They're very rare. The car also has the optional accessory trunk spoiler. It's important to note that the power antenna works properly and extends and retracts fully. The photos of this car speak for themselves. The tires are all in great condition and are Goodyears. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The legendary 2.4 Liter low-pressure turbocharged 5 cylinder engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth. The transmission also operates properly. It's very smooth, while still shifting crisply. 2000 is the final year for the ultra-reliable 4 speed automatic transmission. All of the car's accessories work including the power windows and moonroof. These cars rarely have mechanical problems. The car has a Pennsylvania Safety and Emissions inspection for the buyer.
