2000 Volvo S80 Description

This Volvo currently has 203,000 miles and I am the second owner and have had this car only a few months. I had bought it dead and assumed itwas a battery issueand replaced it and the car ran just fine for a little while but long story short, whenfirst got the Volvo, It would die every once in a while and when left a few hours always start back up which wasn’t a big issue at first and when it died on me the for the 2nd time I had my mechanic install a new Crankshaft sensor as he suggested. After that it ran fine again for about 2 weeks and it started to die again andstalled a few times while driving. It seemed everytime the wait time for it to run again took longer and longer.. It would only need an 2-3 hours at rest and then would be perfectly fine again, but as time went on that wait time became more like 3-6hours also more frequently when traveling even short distances. Most of the time it would die would be when driving longer distances such like 2 hours out of state when visiting family, usually on the way back home or it had more than 4 hours of drive time for the day. Then it became moresporadic and began shutting off a few times after driving anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours. Decided to try aCamshaft Sensor thinking maybe this was the sensor causing the problems not the other one had bought and so we had a new one installedalong with putting in a new Mass Air Flow Sensor because since day 1 the Volvo’s check engine had been on and from multiple sources was toldthat it was due to the air flow sensor/ and the code towhich kept coming up was to do with that. After both parts were replaced, it seemed to have madepositive impact/ difference, at least for a short time, 3 weeks maybe it showed no signs of malfunction and of course it one day all of a sudden lost power and shut offwhiledriving and was dead for 6 hours so had it towed, tried another brand new Crankshaft sensor to see if maybe the last one had been faulty but that didn’t last long so here I am selling this vehicle because at this point it’s not exactlysafe to drive though I’ve tried fixing it but I don’t have the knowledge orthe time to work on it anymore and think it would benefit greatly to someone who knows moreabout these cars and can figure out the issue, my mechanic isn’t too keen on Volvo’s but he tried, he’s also one of my close friends so it’s not that he carelessly worked onit or making up things to get moremoney from me, what had been done has been done properly and takencare of there best can but like I said, he isn’t exactly sure what it is, so I would recommend maybe getting a professional opinion from a Volvo dealer or someone experienced with thembecause these cars are hard to diagnose, codes don’t always seem to show, and whatever the problem is, it’s not showing up when plug it in to diagnosismachines, and done a few times, on a few different ones/at different places. It may be something stupid and a small, easy fix.. there are brand new sensors in it andthere is some hope for this car I think, It can be fixed and drive again, just needs a little bit of work done and I need some sort of vehicle I’m more familiar with. As far as everything else, it’s in pretty good shapestill and also am selling this also as an option for anyonewho wants to buy it out for parts they need, can use, even resell and make some money from itwhich I would do myselfbut have no garage or anywhere at home for it to be done and it’s much easier and moreconveinant this way. I’ll have as many photos can posted of the car and the condition of everything asap, shortly after posting this for nothome at the moment sostay posted.. basically, the interior of the car is in rough shape as far as the seating and floors and that kind of thing go, the guywho had it before me and for a long time, i have no idea what he did to it lol, looks like a dog tried to eat it but all else is pretty good as far as if someone needs any parts from the inside for their own volvo or to resell some of them.. the outside of the car is in good shape, very little rot, body of the car firm and still good for how old it is. I was told when I bought the car and the transaction had been made through a 3rd party for the original owner could not physically sell it themselves but from what I was told was that the car had some sort ofaccident in the front, possibly rear ended another car and not sure exact details but do know that at somepointbecause of it the hood had been replaced and i would’ve never known if hadn’t been told, the outside looks normal and therearen’t any problems due to it but thats all i know and let it be known in case comes upon a car history check which i never did get/look at or know what the owner before me had did or what else has ever been done to this car but everything is fine except for like i said, the car sometimes stalling and loosing power suddenly.. the breaks are fair, tires good and got some life left to them..drove in the snow 2 monthsago in itand it did excellent, the door locks are a little weird and don’t work all the time as they should, sometimes they don’t all unlock or lock and make a weird noise which is probably an easy fix but i just would manually lock them and make sure when needed to..the left side back door..behind the drivers side..thatback window doesn’t shutall the way, its stuck at half an inch open but not enough for any rain to come or do damage as far asI’ve noticed.. the headlights, turn signals, andodometer reading all have been fixed as well..for some reason there had been some sort of electrical issue there butmaymechanic played around with some wires and whatnot and I have had no trouble with any of them since. Ifanyone has any questionsabout anything or need moredetails, my name is Keil and I can be reached at 1-860-235-4894..more details and photos will be added along with anything else that comes to mind/think of as well. I’m located in Eastern CT, New London to be more specific so pretty much the only way can do this is if buyer can come to me/have it towed to where they live orhowever may it be done .. the carislocated here, feel free to give me a call or can message me here, or contact me through e-mail, ..
