1995 Audi S6 Description

1995.5 Audi URS6
This is a great car that has been obviously very well cared for over the years
It is a great looking, great driving car and I will be sad to see it go.
The Audi is in truly remarkable shape for its age, but is not perfect by any means. It has some cosmetic flaws and other minor inconvenience type of issues that I will get into below. Mechanical condition is truly awesome with upgraded ignition system and suspension. Includes lots of extra parts and a spreadsheet of maintenance records back to 2004 at 93k miles. Never been chipped. Original Turbo.
Car pulls like brand new and the suspension feels tight and awesome.
I originally felt very comfortable purchasing this car because the previous owner was a local enthusiast and obviously obsessed with preventative maintenance. It is by far the nicest vehicle I have ever owned and it hasn't given me any mechanical trouble at all. I now need to sell it as I no longer have any place to park it, and no garage to fiddle with it and keep it safe. I feel like I am doing the car a disservice driving it up and down my rough dirt road and parking it out in the open. Unfortunately my lifestyle no longer has a place for a nice hobby car (there is room for an enduro motorcycle though! )
The closer photos show some of the larger dings that you would expect from a regularly driven vehicle of this age. The body looks very sharp and doesn't have any major corrosion. The brake lines are rust free and the fuel lines have been replaced with NICOPP.
Interior is in fantastic shape with the exception of the typical wear on the drivers seat bolster. I added some bright red floormats that look pretty sharp.
The tires are great
List of recent major maintenance:
2014: (within the last 10-15k miles)
-new fuel pump
-new fuel tank (rustproofed)
-new exhaust midpipes and catalytic converters
-new HVAC blower
-Spark plugs, valve cover gasket, oil pressure switch, electric fan
12/2013 at 221k:
-Replaced stock ignition system with EFI Express LS2 conversion kit and Magnecor wires. The kit was $500+
10/2013 at 219k
-Full timing belt job, Cam Position Sensor, New Front Control Arms & Ignition Switch
2008 at 155k - New Bilstein shocks and springs all around (which seem to still be working fantastically)
The history goes back to show other various maintenance like wheel bearings, coolant flushes, coolant fittings, aux water pump.
I also know that a lot of money was spent by previous owners on a paint job, as the original red paint on these models had a tendency to fade. This one is certainly not faded. It looks shiny, beautiful, and pretty much perfect from about 10 feet away with the exception of one missing emblem on the passenger side. (see photo) The front bumper has been reinforced at the weak points where they tend to crack.
The car has also been regularly treated with Fluid Film and Krown treatments to keep rust at bay.
I replaced the LCD screen in the HVAC control with an upgraded version. no missing pixels although The lcd on the Bose stereo is worn, but still visible and functional.
Last year I removed, cleane, and checked all of the turbo and intercooler hoses. They were not full of oil, and the turbo had no discernable endplay that I could feel with my fingers anyhow.
EXTRAS: Check out the last photo
There are a bunch of extra parts that come with the car including:
-2 entire headlight assemblys
- extra power steering "J Hose" with o rings. good used unit from Germany not rebuilt
-taillights
-license plate frame
-the original ignition system (the power output stage was new in 2013)
-entire good cabin airbox/evap ready for installation
-2 hubcaps
- assorted plastic and metal body trim pieces
-turbo hose
-extra plastic coolant fittings
-Good used OEM A/C compressor ready for install
- Thule fit kit (never used)
-extra HVAC control unit (untested by me)
FLAWS: & Inconveniences
Body:
-assorted dings on the body, a couple chips on the hood, very minor paint bubbling and near the lip of wheel well (see photo)
Mechanicals:
- NO A/C In 2014 the A/c was smelling bad and the original evaporator and control box was found to contain rotten bits of moldy leaves etc and corroded. The system was purged and the entire box was removed to clean it out. It was found to be too corroded to reinstall. Eventually a good used evaporator and HVAC control box was sourced and purchased (see photo) but never installed, along with a good used OEM compressor just in case the one on the car had become contaminated.
-Sunroof: It works. It opens and closes but sounds a little poppy and rough. I have avoided using it to avoid it getting worse. the raintray is missing, and water will leak into the cabin if you blast the roof at a carwash. the headliner shows no sign of water damage and is in great shape.
- Electric side view mirror controls recently stopped working (havent' investigated why. It might just be a fuse or wire that I jostled while reinstalling the redone hvac control unit) also I replaced the delaminated drivers side view mirror with a cheap non oem mirror that does not have the blue tint of the OE.
- Last Fall I did all 4 pads and rotors with high quality parts but one of the rear calipers seems sticky and should probably be replaced. I planned to do it this spring.
Other stuff:
I truly value my 100% ebay feedback rating and have made a strong effort to represent this vehicle as accurately as possible. I have bought and sold quite a few larger items with mixed results on ebay. In my experience, communication is key for a good transaction . I am happy to answer any questions as best I can.
This car was in safe storage for the winter with a fresh oil change. It started right up today with no issues, and I drove it home to sadly list it on ebay. Personally, I would not have a problem driving it just about anywhere, but it would be a good idea to give it a pretty solid look over before doing so. If you know these cars, you know that there are a lot of little plastic coolant fittings and other little doo dads that can get brittle and cause an issue.
There is no substitute for seeing the car in person. I would highly recommend coming to take a look at it if you can before bidding.
Vermont does not give a title to vehicles that are over 15 years old. (see the VT DMV website) Rest assured that I have good title to this vehicle in the legal sense and it will be sold with a VT Bill of sale that should allow you to get a title in your state. I do also hold a paper title to the vehicle from a former owner that will go along with it .
TERMS:
U.S. BUYERS ONLY PLEASE
$500 paypal deposit due immediately upon purchase with the remainder to be paid in cash in person within 10 days of the end of the auction.
You should plan to come here and pay in person for the vehicle if you are the winning bidder.
I do understand that with a special car like this, there may be someone from another part of the country that may be interested in it. If you live too far away to come see it in person, I am happy to text you more photos of any part of the car you want to see. If you are an experienced Ebayer with a 100% rating and strong history, I will do my best to work with you to help you make the transaction happe, but there is no way this car will leave my possession until the payment is completed, preferably in person and completely cleared.
I purchased a nice Nakamichi stereo and the isolators and harness and fit kit needed to replace the factory bose head unit. I never installed it, and will include it if you want it for the "BUY IT NOW " PRICE ONLY.
* I realize that some of my photos show reflections of the trees in them. I apologize for this. (car is nice and shiny) It is not intended to mask anything. I am not that savvy of a photographer. If you are a serious buyer, I will be happy to email or text you some more pictures. The close up photos are designed to show a minor dent or flaw.
