2000 BMW 7-Series Base Sedan 4-Door Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drlves. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one ofthose places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 BMW 740iL with just 145k carefully driven miles. I would rate the exterior of this full sized BMW to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a gorgeous sedan. It is finished in Schwartz Black Metallic over gray comfort interior. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this BMW. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos closely to see how clean this 740iL looks inside and out.

I would rate the interior of this BMW to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets have a few marks on them from age, but are not overly worn. A full set of carpet floor mats and all weather floor mats are included. The dash and headliner are clean. The leather seats show virtually no wear and are extremely comfortable. Both front seats are power operated and all four seats are heated. In addition to the heated seats, this 740iL has the optional (hard to find option) heated steering wheel, which is absolute heaven on earth in the winter months. The wood veneers show well for their age. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The power rear sunshade raises and lowers smoothly. With the exception of the right sail glass shade, the rear side shades are fully intact. The audio system is completely original and sounds great. This BMW is equipped with factory GPS Navigation and a CD changer in the trunk. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It offers independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger as well as rear controls. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR and the heater works properly. The trunk is spacious and clean. It has the full tool kit, full sized spare, original cargo net, original owners books and two master keys.

Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.4L 282hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and makes plenty of power. These cars are absolute rocket ships on the highway...cruising at 90mph, the engine is turning just over 2,500 rpm. The check engine light was on when I got this car. The code was P0443. Since it was just an evap code, I cleared it to see if it would come back. It hasn't yet...but it may. The car runs, drives and performs as it should with no issues. The ZF adaptive drive automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. She has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of May, 2017. If you're looking for a nice driver E38 that hasn't been all used up, you know how hard it is to find a good one. Most either have a million miles or are granny's car that has no miles on it and are going for a fortune. Clean, good mileage drivers are getting hard to find.
