1999 BMW 528i Sport Wagon 528it lowered with carbon fiber hood & 18" BBS wheels
1999 BMW 5-Series Description
Adult owned for 8+ years. Always a Southern car and has never seen salt, even been garaged most of its life. Cover lots of miles fast, smoothly, and quietly in this classic cruiser that handles like its on rails. No squeaks or rattles and ride is great, firm and not the least bit harsh. VERY solid, tight car!
I lowered it with Bilstein sport shocks and struts with B&G Springs when I bought it, and replaced the struts last year while Bilstein tested the shocks to be in spec. Fat 2-pc BBS 18's with no bends. Paint and body do have a few minor scratches/dents/dings, it is 18 years old and 235k miles afterall... I captured pics of the worst ones, drivers side behind the front fender and left rear corner.Real carbon fiber hood has been re-cleared, and you can see a few spots under it in the pictures. Carbon fiber center caps in wheels and roundels. You can see from the pictures it will need tires in the next few months. It aligns to factory specs and tires all wear very evenly (no camber issues).
Interior in good condition except driver's seat has a tear. Everything works and no dummy lights. There are a couple of spots on the headliner; they may come out, I don't know. Headliner has a couple spots that are starting to sag a very little bit, and unnoticeableunless you look for it. Both sun visors in great condition with working lights. Rear seat has no stains or tears. Carpet and floor mats have some stains, typical of older car. Full factory stereo with lots of speakers (8 + sub?) and I installed a Sony amp with an 8" Kicker sub (see pics). It is not overly loud, but gives a nice clean sound. Has the 6-disc CD changer from the factory as well. I assume the cassette deck works, but no idea... 2 keys included, and I know the one keyfob works, but i'm not sure about the other.
Runs and drives excellent. "Needs" nothing, but has a coolant leak (which causes belt noise when first starting), small power steering fluid leak, and AC needs recharged every few months. Other weird thing that doesn't hurt anything is that the garage smells like gas if you park the car in it overnight with a totally full tank. If you fill it and drive ~100 miles it will not smell, but something about filling it all the way up. No visible leaks, just the smell. Also, it drips about 2 drops every night; has done it since I bought it and have never found where it is from, even after replacing tons of gaskets and seals trying to find it.
I'm a full disclosure seller and hide nothing!!! You can review my feedback and see that.
