This 1997 BMW M3 was purchased from us as a very clean pre-owned car and converted into a race car. PCS Motor Sports in Colorado Springs has done all of the work, from removing the extra weight to adding the upgrades. It is estimated $35k-$50k spent on the race car conversion as you see it now. Once converted into a race car the M3 was never raced... PCS has put the car through shakedown runs to ensure it drives very fast and remarkable.
The original engine has not been modified with the exception of a simple cold-air intake. There is a cat back performance exhaust system that had been installed before the race car conversion was done.A list of upgrades that have been done to the M3 includes: KW Clubsport Suspension, Fully adjustable upper strut mounts, Complete AIM Dash system with sensors, New engine mounts, New transmission mount, New differential mount, Additional European cooler added, New suspension bushings throughout, New light weight clutch assembly, New wheel bearings front and rear, New brakes front and rear, New sway bars front and rear, Sturt brace added, Short shift, New shift rod, Updated thermostat with housing, Dual fuel pump conversion, MOMO steering wheel, OMP seat and base, Motul brake fluid, Wheels and tires, Track alignment, Various hardware upgrades and more.
The M3 has been fitted with a complete roll cage and all interior components including carpet have been removed with exception to the dash. This M3 is incredibly fast and agile with great consistent lap times of approx. 2:05 during shakedown runs at High Plains Raceway. This M3 will chase down GT3's all day long.
