2001 BMW M3 Description

Thanks for looking. I'm selling my2001 White M3 Convertible with 98,4XX Miles. This is my personal vehicle obtained earlier this year and is currently registered and insured under my name with a clear NY title. The previous owner is an engineer in the Navy who took meticulous care of the car and owned it for the last 7 years before me. Car is located in a garage in Manhattan. Selling because I was storing her in my parents' garage and the house is being sold August 15th. Don't need to pay for parking in Manhattan.
Have a folder of service records from 1st owner. Prior owner (last 7 years) did most of the work himself but there are still some records from BMW and documenting purchases of parts.
It recently was serviced and had a complete once over by Michael Shiffer - BMW CCA New York Chapter's Technical Advisor - at EuroMechanica i. After receiving a new differential front mount bushing and output shaft seals, along with new differential fluid, the car was given a clean bill of health.

Condition comments:

• Engine - extremely smooth and meticulously maintained. No leaks, ticks, or issues.
• Transmission - strong clutch, no grinding. Smooth and even better with ZHP weighted knob. Fluid replaced within last 15k miles.
• Rear/Differential - New front mount bushing, diff oil, and output shaft seals. No usual e46 M3 clunking.
• Suspension - great condition with Koni Yellow adjustables. Have original shocks/struts.
• Brakes - new OEM rotors and pads all around, no issues.
• Wheels/Tires - within last 5k miles new ContiExtreme Contact tires all around. Wheels are OEM 18's and have slight curb rash which I smoothed out and plasti-dipped black. Good condition and you don't notice the slight rash.

Cosmetics:

• Exterior - up until a few months ago this car had a full clear bra on the front. After painstaking removal there is amazing paint underneath. Overall the paint is great for its age but there are some small imperfections and nicks which I have touched up. Not perfect but very good for 15 years old. Small ding in the rear fender near the edge, no other dings or dents. Original body panels. Looks great with black accents.
• Interior - Grey leather which I refreshed in areas that were fading using ScuffMaster kit. Looks great after the refresh. Cup holders are fading a bit, rear ash tray cover has come off, and the rubber lining inside the armrest console is cracking. Looks good overall, especially with the black interior trim. Added black carpets.
• Top - No leaks or tears! Looks great. Goes up and down as it should.
• Electronics/Misc - Everything works! Including AC, all lights (including added angel eyes), auto dimming mirror, power mirrors, windows, automatic seat adjustment, horn, etc.
