2006 BMW 3-Series Description

For sale is a 2006 BMW 330i sedan with Sports Package, Premium Package and Cold Weather Package. I am the second owner (since 2009) and bought it certified used with a 100,000 mile warranty. It now has 146,000 miles and is in fantastic mechanical condition.
I have babied this car from day 1, with oil changes at twice the BMW recommended frequency (always at dealer) -- every 7k miles. I've done all regularly scheduled maintenance, and I do an in-depth interior and exterior detail twice per year. It looks and drives new.
I've done all major maintenance, so the car is mint. This includes new water pump ($700), new thermostat ($700), new starter ($600), new front and rear brakes and rotors ($900), new transmission pan/filter/fluid ($750), newer tires (high performance summer tires - $1,200), all new suspension on 4 corners ($900), new control arms and bushings ($400), new tie rods ($200), new spark plugs ($100). Car is refreshed and drives like brand new. Receipts available.
This car has not been tracked, abused or modified. It has been my daily driver, and I'm really really sad to see it go (baby expected soon so we bought a SUV). The buyer of this car should know that this car was loved, coddled and well maintained.
Some cool features that I love about this car:
-Swivel headlights: headlights turn with steering wheel so helps you see around turns. And VERY powerful xenon headlights -- great visibility.
-Brakes: most amazing brakes on any car I've seen. I've only used OEM/BMW brakes and rotors. When it's raining, the car gently wipes the rotors every few seconds so they remain dry for optimal braking. I haven't seen this feature on any other car. Also, when you suddenly take your foot off the gas, the car primes the brakes in anticipation you will stomp on the brakes, thereby reducing braking time. Amazing German technology.
-Handling: this car has drive-by-wire steering, which provides amazing road feedback, unlike today's newer BMWs that have numb electronic steering. This car has nice, heavy weighted steering and thick, leather steering wheel. Also the suspension has been refreshed and feels like new. The car just grips the road and doesn't want to let go.
-Fuel economy: I can get 34MPG highway, which is amazing for a 6 cylinder naturally aspirated engine built in 2006. I've fed this car nothing but Shell V-Power 93 octane gas, and I have never had a misfire or performance issue. I've paid a premium to keep the engine in top shape.
-Engine: bullet proof. Just google E90 BMW, and you will see this is among the last of BMW's naturally aspirated (non turbo) engines, which means years of reliable service. Just keep doing oil changes!
-Utility: with the rear seats folded, you can haul a lot in this car. With winter/snow tires, you're nearly unstoppable in DC's winter weather. I've driven confidently in nearly every snow situation and have passed 4x4 SUVs with confidence. The traction control system is outstanding. And heated seats are perfect for the cold weather.
Asking $8,000 OBO. Keep in mind that This car comes with a full maintenance history and the knowledge that it has been cherished, babied and loved for many years, plus it has over $6,000 worth of maintenance and new parts -- not to mention all the in-warranty service it has received. It was mechanically and cosmetically cared for by a BMW enthusiast, and it shows. Clean title and Carfax.
