1969 Chevrolet Impala Description

Up for sale is my 1969 Caprice 2 door hardtop (not Impala, it is a factory 427 big block 335 horse car, turbo 400 transmission, 12 bolt rearend, buckets and console, power windows, tilt steering A/C car. The drivetrain in this car is original to it and all the numbers match up, meaning the vin number of the car is stamped on the motor as it should be. The motor, trans, and rearend have never been out of this car since new. I bought this car from an older gentlemen that bought it in 1975 from a chevy dealership in Riverside California and it has been registered in California from 1968 to 2016 until i bought it a few months back and put Montana plates on it. I do have the original California Black plates that go with the car. With that said it is very rust free car with only a very small spot behind left rear tire about the size of a quarter bubbling but not through the metal, and a small spot on the front edge of the dash under the windshield. (windshield is original to the car and is not cracked or broken anywhere!!!) Trunk is very nice no holes or pitting. Car is dailer driver condition, runs nice and smooth, does not leak any oil. Being the original motor never been rebuilt or apart it does use some oil and puffs oil at startup but is very driveable as it doesnt smoke just driving it around normally. The transmission fluid is not burnt and shifts very nice, quick and firm, the previuos owner said he had the pan dropped and had a shift improver kit installed in 1976. Rearend is stock 12 bolt with a 273 gear open carrier. Car is originally a green car NOT BLACK and was painted black in 1976 and needs repainted again. Looks good driving down the road but is not great up close as you can imagine for a 40 year old paint job that sat outside in california until 2002 when it was stored inside. The paint looks good in the photos but needs redone. Interior is driver quality as well and has seat covers installed to cover the worn original and dry factory seats but will need a complete interior kit if you want to make it a really nice car. There has been alot of money spent getting this reliable and roadworthy in the last couple months here is a list of what been done.Gas tank has been removed, cleaned and sealed and has new rubber fuel lines in system as well as a new sending unit.Front end has new upper and lower ball joints, new upper and lower control arm bushings and sway bar bushings, as well as new outer tie rods, and a new steering gear(old one will come with car)Front disk brake rotors have been turned with new pads and brake lines, rear brakes have new drums and new shoes installed.Motor has new valve cover gakets, oil changed and all new belts, radiator hoses, and heater hoses installed.Brand new chrome rally wheels 15x7 front and 15x8 rear with new cooper cobra tires 255/60/15 and 275/60/15 (car comes with original 15x7 rally wheels with like new whitewall tires as well)Car has been lowered 2 inches on all four corners.New turn signal switch installed.New roof rail weatherstrips, and quarter window seals installed.I have been driving the car daily for about a month without problems and gets alot of thumbs up, i have put about 500 miles on it now. Car has power windows that all work. All the interior and dash lights and guages work properly as well as turn signals and stop lights, even the license plate light and trunk light works. Heater works but belt is off compressor so im not sure if that works but is all there(compressor is not froze up). Things that do not work are the factory am/fm radio, lighter, and power door locks. The speedometer shows how fast you are going but the odo stopped at 84000 miles, the estimated miles are 100,000 from previous owner. The underside is rust free and as solid as you will ever find. Overall this is a good driver as is but like i said to be a show car it will need paint, interior and could use an engine freshened up. This is an all original (only one repaint in 76) california car unrestored since new numbers matching 427 car with some rare options. These are hard to find and when restored are worth alot of money. My price is very reasonable for what you are getting here. Please ask questions if you have any and if you bid please intend to pay the deposit as the auction states and pay the rest in the time frame stated in the auction. I will not tolerate buyers that do not follow what my auction states and will sell car to next guy in line if you dont contact me when auction ends to make arrangements in a timely manner. Thankyou and good luck.
