·Ralph Collins owned truck about 24 yrs., obtaining truck around 1990 from

friend/Co-worker Dave Slater.

·All previous owners were reportedly aerospace engineers, working together

on the Space Shuttle program at Edwards Air Force, all of which lived in the

arid hi-desert above the dry lakes.

·Before driving from SoCal to Orcas Island. WA. late Dec. 2014, invested $10k

servicing & updating mechanical systems to ready vehicle for Northbound

journey over the mountains. This included; heater core replacement, window

gaskets, lube/oil/liquids, new battery, brakes, addition of electronic ignition &

tune-up, tire chains, etc.

NOTE:

This very clean “survivor” is an highly unusual & sought after truck; it has never been a work truck, never plowed, always sheltered from the sun and garaged in temperature controlled environments since 1968. This explains the absence of rust throughout the undercarriage, body & topper.

FYI: Decal on the door is easily removable.
