1998 Chevrolet Suburban K1500 Lifted 4x4 **Needs Transmission Work**

1998 Chevrolet Suburban LT Description

This is my 1998 Chevy Suburban that I have had for 13 years. First off, the truck does need transmission work. I will detail that below.
This truck has been pampered all it's life. I have kept up on all services and oil changes and any replacement parts over the years have been top quality aftermarket, or OEM replacement. You will have a hard time finding a nicer 1998 Chevy that still has its original paint. And you will not find a nicer lifted Suburban from this era.
The Bad:There is a 2 inch crack in the dash. You will see a close up of this in the pictures.The paint on the hood is cracking. Also in the pictures,The Transmission is slipping in 3rd and 4th. I had this transmission custom built when the truck had 164k on it. The transmission was built and certified to 750 horsepower. But, I had a cooler line fail going down the Interstate and all the fluid pumped out. When I fixed the line and filled it up, 3rd and 4th are now slipping. Options for this: I found several good used transmissions locally ranging $400 to $500. The shop that built this transmission said that they will repair the existing transmission for $700 which will bring it back to 750 HP rating. Or, a standard rebuild/GM Reman is easy to price out.
The Good:Stereo consists of 9 Kicker speakers including a very well hidden 10 inch subwoofer. The complete AC system is only 2 years old and all brand new AC Delco parts. New shocks front and rear. Very recent tune up. Radiator and Thermostat replaced in the last 20k miles. The windshield is 6 months old. CB installed in the dash. The interior is in near perfect condition. The truck has all power options including both front seats, windows, locks, heated mirrors, heated seats. Tan leather interior. The 4WD works flawlessly and the 350 engine runs perfect with no smoking or unusual noises at all.
Upgrades:Painted to match Bush Wacker fender flares.4 Inch Rough Country lift kit (Easily adjustable to 6 inch if you desire)True dual exhaust with 40 Series Flowmaster mufflers and stainless tips.K&N Air filter (In the stock air box, not a cold air kit)Eagle Alloy wheels with 305//70/16 BFG All Terrains.Trailer wiring consists of both 4 way and 7 way plugs and there is a Brake Controller.
