Vehicle Condition and more details
The NCRS crowd hates this car, but if you love 60s and 70s themed cars, you should love this one! It is an era correct Baldwin Motion themed 69 Corvette. This car that will get great attention at car shows or cruise in's or wherever you go in it. It would also make a great weekend cruiser.
Yes, it is loud and maybe to some a bit too radical, but never the less, the heads will turn. The engine is an early dated 1969 350 (one month after the cars build date so leave your number guides at home) which has been treated to 427 stroker kit, Jegs aluminum heads and full roller rockers. The cam is a Howards Cams solid lifter, long duration and high lift. The cam specifications are: Lift 535/510, Duration 320/312. It idles fine at 900 RPM. I recently put in a complete MSD system with billet tach drive distributor, coil and MSD 6AL box. Along with this a new Holley Ultra Fuel 735CFM carb was installed. New aluminum radiator as well.
The car has zero fluid leaks and is very reliable. The Vintage AC is ice cold.
It currently has 78655 miles, and those are believed to be original miles, I see no reason to question that, but it isn't a big deal on a car like this.
THIS IS NOT an original Motion Performance car, but it has some Motion styling cues.
Cosmetics
Paint is very nice, probably around 5 years old, with only a few minor chips. It has been touched up in a few very small areas. The body is very solid and straight with no signs of panel replacement or obvious stress cracks. The birdcage is solid and nice. The chrome is equally as nice,
The doors open and shut nicely. There is a lot of attention to detail on the car everywhere you look.
The interior is the original black color, with a correct tilt wheel, factory gauges, console, original shifter, padded dash, seat belts. There are no tears or cracks in the interior. All gauges work, including the clock. All the fiber optics work as well. The aftermarket radio and 8 track work great. The headlamp doors operate correctly and have the factory rock guards intact. There are functioning Cibi style driving lights under the front bumper. The rear backup lamps work correctly.
If I remember right the spare tire and wheel may be original, I do know that it is a bias ply tire.
Mechanical
Engine runs great, no problems or funny noises. It has been recently serviced with a Mobil One, filters and lubrication. The valves have been adjusted and tuned. The timing set is a noisy gear drive, not to my liking but I didn't want to pull it out. I suspect the engine has a few thousand miles on it since built. The cooling system has a clutch fan.
Transmission shifts smooth - and correct.
Steering is straight and solid.
The brakes are factory Power Disc type and work correctly, manual steering
All fluids have been changed and are fresh.
The exhaust is Hooker side mount chrome headers with custom chambered inserts.
The rear spring is new.
The rear end is the original 3:23 posi trac,
Original style Radir wheels and Mickey Thompson tires.
Overview
This is a great example of a themed 69 Corvette with great colors It will make someone a proud owner. You won't be able to wait to show it off. I receive compliments each and every time I take it out! It drives extremely nice, no rattles or noises. Very tight indeed! A great investment too as these cars are the ones to collect and are rising in value every day.
I have many photos, so if you do not see the view you want, just ask.I will also have a running walk around video available to provide even more detail and perspective This car is a wonderful example of what these cars were in the day. The car sounds great and draws a lot of attention whenever I drive it.I am sure I have forgotten something, so if you do not see what you want in the photos or description please ask. I desire the new owner to be completely comfortable with their decision, and will strive to answer as many questions I can about this car.
