This totally restored 1970Chevrolet Chevelle SS Sport Coupeis Documented with the "Original Build Sheet" that is still attached to the back of the originaldoor panel that came off the car, seephotos of the red door panel frontand back where the build sheet is still clued fromthe factory.This will certainly go to the newowner.

This car is not a clone, tribute, look-a-like, etc.In 1969 a Super Sport became a factory option and was not a specific car modelanymore.1968 and older had a 138 in the vin number which made it easy to verify those.

For investorstoday to verify a true 47 year old 1970 Chevelle SSyoumusthave the"guaranteed big block original engine"or "real documentation". This iswhy theseare someof the mostfakedand cloned cars in the collector car market. Peoplesay, oh it's a real SS because it has SS on it or the guy I bought it from said it was real. Ask them to providesolid proof and see what answer you get .Sellers tellingyouit is "Matching Numbers" is far fromenough. Now daysrestorerscan make the numbers match in about 10 minutes. I see this all the time, sad but true. My familywasa GM dealer for almost 40 years, we sold these new.

This one is Guaranteed Genuine and I have proof.

I have included a photo of the cowl tag that match perfectly with the way you see the car and the build sheet .

Builtat the Lakewood assembly plant (Atlanta )during the 3rd week of October 1969 for the 1970model year. Build date 10C .Early built Chevelle, Vin 136370A103853. The 3853car built. Body build codes on the cowl tag A ( Atlanta ) 03271 match build sheet, code 022238 match build sheet, vin number matches build sheet, color codes match, optional equipment match, etc. etc.

Sold new at City Chevrolet Co. ( Days of Thunder movie fame ) in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Arare color combination and one you don't see often, makes a very pretty car. Factory colors are (10 code)Classic White, (B code) Black Vinyl Top, (787 code) Red Vinyl Bench Seat Interior, with (B code) Black SS stripes. Many of these cars were ordered with front bench seating. We wanted our girl friends sitting close to us back in the day.This Chevelle SSis a true investment that your family can enjoy!

Engine is 396 ( actually they were 402 ) cast number 3969854 for 1970 year model, Engine stamp is CTW which is exactly correct for a 1970 Chevelle Super Sport witha 396/350HP engine and turbo 400 automatic transmission. Engine pad stamp is T0414CTW / 10A160438. This engine also came in a car built at the Lakewood plant in Atlanta just not it's original block, not sure what happened to the original. The owner before me installed an aluminum intake, new carburetor, hidden MSD ignition, and very nice exhaust headers.These modifications make this a wonderful cruiser. Car runs and drives very well.

The Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission is the original, see photo of matching vin taken before we had it totally rebuilt and cleaned.

Rear Axle Assembliesfrom Chevroletdid not come withvin numbers. This is 99.9% the original. Factory stamped and dated CCW 0929B, see photo. CCW is 3:31 ratio matching the build sheet. 9thmonth production is Septembe, and the 29 day which alsodoesmatchthe build date.

Options are :

This is a factory Air Conditioning car. The past owner replaced some older type components with ones that are much more efficient. Air Conditioning isworking and blows cold.

396 / 350HP V8 4BBL . Engine is highly detailed and very clean for shows.

We serviced this car, made adjustments that it needed. All lights work, turn signals, back up lights, wipers, stereo.All chrome, bumpers, glass, etc. are very nice.

Painton this car has no chips, dents, dings of any kind. Paint is 9 on a 10 scale. Exterior paint, black stripes, paint in door jams, trunk,etc. is that nice.The Red Interior is mostly new andthe headliner is red as it is supposed to be.Vinyl Top is very nice also.

See photo of the bottom of this car. We pressured washed itand took some of the factory blackcoating and 47 years of dirt and dustoff the floors so you can see how original and rust free the floor pans are. Frame is rust free also. It has no undercoating. I do not know if every piece of this car is original metal. Body panel fit is near perfect!
