1988 Ford Mustang LX Big Block ,ProStreet, Drag Car, Race Car, No Reserve
1988 Ford Mustang Description
Your Bidding on a 1988 Mustang LX Hatchback. I bought this car off a insurance auction about 4 years ago. Car had been vandalized, someone had keyed the paint added sugar to the fuel cell and cut the rear tires.
What I know about the car, it was built to race, someone spent a lot of money on the chassis and tubing the car out. Car has a 1978 Chevy 454 4 Bolt Main. Has flat top TRW piston's bore .40 over. Installed Crane 258 Degree solid cam, with solid lifters. Has gear drive fortiming gears. Installed Alum heads with triple valve springs, Alum roller rockers, has high rise intake with Nitrous Plate. Has Holley 750 CFM Double pumper carb with dual 50cc accelerator pumps. Nitrous has never been wired up but is all hooked up. Has bottle mount behind passenger seat.
Transmission is a Turbo 400 with a Manual Valve body and transbrake. Has a 10" torque convertor with a 3500 stall. Note Cam Power Band is 3000-6500rpm range.
Rear end is a Currie Enterprises Narrowed 9" has a Spool with 4.88 gears. 4 Link with wish bone brace and rear coil overs.
Trunk Mounted Fuel cells, middle one is for the engine, rear driverside one is for nitrous, 2ea holley electric fuel pumps.Trunk mounted battery with shut off disconnect switch.
Wilwood Disc brakes and mater cylinder. Full Length Headers with dual single chamber flow master mufflers.
Auto Meter Gauges, dashmounted toggle switches.
Rear ties are 33" X 18.5 X 15" ET Slicks,
Just recently got the car running, cleaned the whole fuel cell and fuel system. Car runs and drives. Have not taken it out on the streetor to race.
Selling it cause I need to make room in my shop and I don't have the time or money for this project any longer.
All fluids have recently been changed, engine oil, transmission filter and fluid and rear fluid.
Can be a car that can be Very Fast. Light weight and ready to run.
Note: Do not have Title for Car, have Bill of Sale form, auction company, will provide copies of and will issue new bill of sale to the high bidder. Never took the time to try to file for lost title.
Had no plans to register, since it would not pass motor vehicle inspection in TX.
Setting No Reserve cause honestly it's hard to gauge what a car like this is worth, I didn't build it other than installing Alum heads, intake, cam lifters, roller rockers and a new carb on the engine. So I know what money I have in it.
Any questions feel free to ask, I will do my best to answer them.
Payment must be made with in 3 days of end of auction.
