The mustang was originally purchased on 08/10/1967 from Vaughn Dunaway Motor Co in Mineral Wells, TX. This mustang was originally Dusk Rose (Pink) with a Black Vinyl Roof. and has always lived and been a TX car which means no rust rot. The story behind this car is a father purchased the car for his daughter who drove it for a couple years until he discovered she did something with the car she wasn’t supposed too and the car got parked in the garage for 18 years; it was supposedly put on blocks so she couldn’t drive it. The parents then took it out after 18 years and drove it around sparingly up until about 04. It then sat in a garage again until about a year ago where it was bought by the gentleman I bought it from who put new tires on it and only drove it twice for a total of 60 miles and then decided to sell it with the passing of his wife. I don’t know at what point it was re painted and the black vinyl top replaced with a white vinyl top. No way to validate the story but the gentlemen I purchased it from was in his 70’s and appeared honest in his dealings with me. I drove 3 hours to go look at the car and it was exactly as he had described; nothing more nothing less. It made the 3 hour drive home without a single issue. Starts easily and stops with no issues. Brakes feel very solid. I’ve owned well over 20 classic mustangs and have restored many more; it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a classic Mustang that hasn't been mutilated to pieces let alone in this good of condition. Hagerty places the value of this Mustang with its options in good condition at $17,170. This car is only going to go up in value in the coming years.
