2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Description

2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor P71 4.6L SOHC V8
129,681 miles, 3027 idle hours (additional mileage may be put on before sale as vehicle is still used, however rarely). Purchased January 2015 off service from the Nevada Highway Patrol. Since I've owned it, the mass airflow sensor was replaced as well as the fan shroud and fan computer (as a unit). Transmission shits smoothly, engine runs very well, A/C blows cold. The TPMS senders are not on the right wheels and I never got around to re-arranging them, so the TPMS light blinks when the vehicle starts and goes solid after a minute indicating it's not working. Also, there is a vacuum leak in the vent controller, so at times the A/C will blow out of the bottom or top vents rather than the middle vents. The left spot also needs a new bulb, but as I never use it, I never replaced it.
This interceptor, unlike many others, has a fully carpeted floor, CRUISE CONTROL, a center console, cloth seats front AND REAR, AM/FM radio with CD player, and the rear doors open from the inside, just like a normal vehicle. It also has the 3.27 limited-slip differential. Makes a very decent family vehicle as there is tons of room in the back seat for children's car seats (I've had two in the back, there are LATCH anchors in the rear seats) and the trunk is HUGE. When I drove this car back & forth to work commuting 30 miles each way in a mix of local and highway, I got a very consistent 21mpg on 87 octane gas.
Of course, this P71 has the full police package including heavy duty brakes, suspension, coolers, an additional ten horsepower over the standard Crown Victoria, and modified shift points for the transmission computer. In addition, this vehicle is equipped with a Rhino push bar in the front as well as the two spot lights on the A-pillars. This was a marked Nevada Highway Patrol car, and as such there is some glue residue where the markings were as well as some holes in the dashboard where police equipment was fitted.
