2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Description

2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor, former car 54 (Where Are You? lol) from the city of Attleboro, MA. I purchased it from the city last October and have spent the last 6 months restoring and then enjoying it....now it is time for someone else to enjoy it. The last few pictures were taken the day I took delivery of the car, when it still had the police graphics in place. I have put over 750 miles on it and it runs and drives fantastic. When I purchased it the paint was peeling as is typical and there was surface rust where that had occurred. I had a body shop do a professional repair and respray in the factory Ford finish so it looks great. Here is a list of what else was done to the car:
-NEW Headlamps, corner markers and tail lamps
-NEW factory Ford hubcaps, all 4
-NEW heater core
-NEW serpentine belt, tensioner and idler pulley
-NEW Go Rhino push bumper (tiny dent...grrr)
-NEW NOS Ford steering wheel-NEW top quality battery-NEW alignment and had steering shaft recall done at Ford dealer-NEW oil and filter change plus air filter-NEW power steering pump
I also replaced the rear seat (police plastic unit available to buyer for no cost if you want it!) and rear door panels with used items that are in great condition. NOTE-the rear door handles are not functioning but new replacements are included. They may need other parts to work properly. Being a former marked unit, there are scratches, wear etc. throughout the interior including on the door panels, dash etc. The drivers seat has a hole on the lower cushion at the back and a small one on the upper section (see pics). The front seats have minor staining but I have not attempted to clean them. The rubber floor covering has a few holes on the drivers and passenger sides. These are completely covered by the floor mats which are of course included. The tires are the correct Goodyear Eagle RS-A's in the factory size, P235/55/17.....they are in fantastic condition so no worries about those. There is a spare as well but there is no rim, just the tire. There is a very small tear in the rear bumper cover, this didn't bother me but if the new owner wants to address it these are readily available. The brakes, suspension, engine and transmission all function extremely well. There is an extremely minor lifter tick when the car is started for the first time after sitting. This goes away immediately and it is smooth and quiet after that. This car drives extremely smooth and is very comfortable. I would not hesitate to jump in and drive it across the country NOW! Everything works as intended including the power windows, door locks, gauges, radio and HVAC. There is a really nice center console which was in the car while it was in use as a police unit. I have found pictures of another car from the same city which had the radio and siren controller in it so I can tell the buyer what it originally had if they wanted to reinstall correct equipment. The trunk has the Police Trunk Pack as well as the radio tray still installed. I have the original headlamps, tail lamps and trunk panel with strobes and these can be included if the new owner wishes to have them. The car still has the siren and two large loud speakers behind the front bumper cover. The wires were cut but these could easily be rewired if the new owner wishes to utilize them. It comes with a full set of original keys. The spot light works great. The Whelen strobes in the mirrors are not wired but the wiring is there. The strobes do work but as I mentioned are not hooked up. There is a lot that I am sure I missed but suffice to say that this car is just broken in at this mileage and has a lot of life left. I have really enjoyed owning, fixing and driving it but its time to move onto the next project, a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville convertible that I just purchased from the original 92 year old owner. Gotta make room! Feel free to write or call me at 978-928-4495 weekdays from 7-5 or 978-249-2529 6-9 or weekends EST with any questions. I have listed this locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. Please contact me before bidding if you have a 0 feedback rating. I am happy to work with your shipper to get the car off to you! I will consider delivering it anywhere in the New England area for a reasonable fee (we can discuss) too if that helps. I have set what I feel is a very reasonable reserve for a car of this quality. Thanks for viewing and best of luck in bidding!

I forgot to mention that there is a brand new set of Vent Visors! Also of note: the rear axle code is "X5" which indicates that the car is equipped with a 3.27 gear ratio and Trac Lok posi which is a nice added bonus. I wanted to mention also that I have driven the car a few times so the miles will be slightly higher than that stated. This car rides and drives so well it makes me question why I am selling it!
