This was NOT a standard dealer lot car and was specifically ordered by the department as a non-patrol car. Car was purchased by the village of Hoffman Estates, IL and driven by a Lieutenant. The village uses black and white models for patrol and has very few solid color cars and are solely reserved for upper level officers or those in administration or finance for the police department. This car has stayed in Illinois for the majority of its life but it has seen very little use in the winter. Please see pictures as this car is just as clean as cars in the south and in the west.

The following paragraphs will describe the condition and performance of my car:
Exterior:
Car has paint code (UA) Black clearcoat. This car has NEVER been a black/white model and always a factory black car from Ford. All sheet metal is original to the car and has not had any bodywork or replacements done. Both front and rear bumpers covers are the factory Ford covers made from yellow urethane. This has ALWAYS been an unmarked car and never had any type of exterior decals or insignia. It has never had a light-bar or push-bumper. The finish on the paint is just beautiful. You can usually tell if a car has had decals as the paint is just old and tired. People will try to buff out the imperfections but it will never be like and unmarked car. Overall, the paint is excellent. There are subtle scratches, dings, scuffs, etc. that you cannot see on camera. The largest imperfections include scratches on the left side of rear bumper, subtle nicks above front passenger door and scuffs/rub marks on the passenger front door molding. There are a few dings here and there such as (2) on each rear door. No hail damage or body damage. Some of the imperfections have been touched up such as chips on header panel, scuff above right rear wheel well, and scratches on rear bumper. Front marker lights previously had strobe bulbs in them and have since been replaced. All headlight and marker lights are brand new Ford lights with new bulbs. Reverse lenses still have the plug-n-play strobe bulbs installed and can be hooked up for legitimate police, fire, or rescue use. Taillights have never been drilled through. There are holes on the roof anddeck-lidfromradio antennas that have been plugged with rubber grommets. Excellent condition for being 8 years old and over 100K miles. ZERO body rust or rot.
Interior:
Car has factory interior code (IN) Black/Gray Cloth/Vinyl. Car has NEVER had a cage or prisoner seat. Allseat-belts, wires, and accessories are untouched and in their original places. This car did have a no-drill console installed and had a wiring loom for radios installed using a cut on the lower right side of the transmission tunnel. It is very hard to pick up and not noticeable unless you are looking for it. This car also had a no-drill visor light installed using the factory visor pinpoints. No cuts or gashes in the headliner. Rear deck has never had any lights installed. Dash has NEVER had any type of equipment installed so there are ZERO holes. Carpet is absolutely flawless. There is no wear anywhere and all factory floor mats are new. Rear seat and passenger seat are just as in good shape as they were when the car was built - No wear at all. Driver seat did have the typical cut in the hinge but has since been extended and repaired. New sleeve has more cushioning and stronger stiches. Some use on the seat itself but still looks new. Steering wheel has very minor wear and most of the texture is still intact around the wheel.
Mechanical:
This car has NO mechanical defects. It accelerates fast, corners aggressively with minimal body-roll and stops the moment the brakes are pressed. Transmission is smooth and there are no hesitations between shifts. Every change can be heard but not felt. Ride is very smooth and shocks take the impact very well. Steering shaft recalled has been performed as well as a power steering flush. Steering is like new and very responsive.
Electrical / Safety:
All electrical items on this car work as they should. There are NO defects. Every light works and every instrument works. Heat is HOT and a/c is COLD. Blower works on all levels with no hesitation. Radio signal is strong. All windows and locks work flawlessly. *What is different about this car is that is has been inspected by the local Ford dealer. Any codes or issues have been checked and fixed. Many sellers will disregard the issues unless the seller absolutely presses an issue. All lights work as they should and there are no drainage issues with any of the electronics. This car does have side airbags as an option as well as the standard driver and passenger airbags. All dash lights come on with the key on, engine off and with key on/engine on and then return to normal. Car also has a Factory Ford remote start and security system. VERY rare to find on police models and almost non-existent. It works perfectly as new.

Maintenance / Service History
Prior to myself owning the car, the village garage was responsible for maintenance. Everything has been on a 3000 mile interval and larger parts have been replaced as needed. I have over 30 pages of maintenance from the village alone as to the work that has been done over the years. Some of the larger items replaced aside from the regular fluid and filter changes while in their possession include: Transmission rebuild, Axle Seals and bearings, Brake rotors and calipers, HVAC blend door actuator, Battery, and Water Pump.
The last service by myself was done at 107,000 miles. Work performed included:

1. Spark Plugs

2. Oil

3. Oil Filter

4. Air Filter

5. All engine fluid top-off

6. Tire Rotation

7. Tire Alignment

8. Windshield

9. Rear shock absorbers

Engine Replacement:

After buying this car and driving it for a few thousand miles, there was a subtle bang coming from the engine. The engine was removed and found a screwdriver bit that had lodged itself into the cylinder head and ruined a piston. It is unknown how the bit got into the engine but the entire engine was replaced. New engine was from a Mercury Grand Marquis with 108k miles. Engine is still the same Ford 4.6 liter V8 with the Flex Fuel package. Please keep in mind, regardless of whether or not a crown victoria is a police model, every Ford 4.6 used in the crown victoria, grand marquis and town cars are the SAME. There are ZERO differences with the block itself. All accessories from the previous engine were used. Car still retains ALL of the features found on a police model that were installed when being built. While the engine has been changed it has close to ZERO idle hours. The previous engine had 1722 hours and the computer will still keep counting as the number increases’ but just be aware the current engine has seen almost no idle time. It is a VERY smooth engine and runs excellent. There are no odd noises. Compression is perfect and oil pressure is superb. It is VERY fast and powerful and has more get up and go than any crown vic with the same amount of mileage because it has virtually no idle time! Current engine has 108049, so the difference is only appx. 1600 miles.

Along with the engine replacement, the following work was performed while removing and installing the engine and includes new parts such as:

1.A/C Accumulator

2.Left Exhaust Manifold

3.Exhaust Manifold Gaskets

4.Intake Manifold Gaskets

5.All A/C line o-rings

6.Transmission cooler line o-rings

7.Oil cooler line o-rings

8.Oil Filter Housing Gasket

9.Oil Pressure sending unit

10.Alternator

On top of this, additional parts were replaced for the 110,000 mile service interval. Work performed included:

1.Oil

2.Oil Filter

3.Air Filter

4.Brake bleed on all calipers

5.Coolant flush

6.A/C evac. & refill

7.Transmission Tailshaft seal

8.Starter

9.Rear brake pads

Please note - I have maintained this car to be to the best degree it can be. All parts that have been replaced have been high-quality parts. They are NOT cheap but it only adds to the car and improves it. Be aware as many people will buy cheap knock-off parts just so they will last long enough to get you out the door. Before long, your $3500 car now costs $3500 more to replace various parts. Please be careful and do your research - Ask questions! If someone is not willing to give you information, odds are, something is wrong.

Front brakes are at 80%
Rear brakes are at 95%
Wheels/Tires:
Wheels have been stripped and repainted in the original glass black with clearcoat. All wheel weights were removed and put back on after painting. Center caps are NEW and have no scratches or dings. Tires are Firestone Firehawk Pursuit tires. They are some of the best tires in terms of all-weather capability and handling. Front tires have appx. 80% and the rear tires are just shy of 95%, they are like new.

Accident History:

This car has NEVER been in an accident. All sheet metal and body panels are original to the car. Bumper covers are original as well. Please be very careful when looking at used police models. Many agencies will repair their own cars and it will never show up on record because it was never turned into insurance. I have seen cars that should have been totaled and then repaired by private companies to make it look new. It is VERY hard to match the factory paint finish. Many people will over-correct the car to make it look as good as possible and that’s when you can tell because some areas look new and some areas don’t. The areas that don’t are often original and the new work has been over-done past what the factory did. Please be VERY careful and do your research. This car is ALL ORIGINAL and all factory stickers and production decals are still in place as well as the VIN tags on ALL body panels.
Car is OBDII/LVII certified / Has 50 state emissions package and can be sold ANYWHERE in the US.
There is an immense amount of paperwork that comes with the car such as: Title, Bill of Sale, 40+ pages of maintenance, CarFax, dealer option sheet, original purchase agreement, dealer invoice, original tax forms, copy of window sticker and copy of original title.

I can deliver this car ANYWHERE in the US. I have delivered cars to people in the next county over from me and as far west as Utah. Please send a message if you would like to know how much it would cost. I have always been able to beat the cost of a shipping company by a few hundred if not half.

Anyone is more than welcome to bring a mechanic if they wish to inspect the car. Car is located in Mount Vernon, OH (45 Min NE of Columbus, OH). If you would like to fly in to Port Columbus International Airport I can pick you up and car can be received on the spot.

Car will be listed for 7 days and that’s it! If it does not sell, it will NOT be put up again and will go back to local advertising only.

For any questions please ASK A QUESTION or call/text 740-502-8736. It costs NOTHING to ask but it could cost you if you don’t > reference to other car sales. If you would like more pictures or a video walk-around, please say so! I can do anything as needed. I am NOT a dealer so there are no hidden fees or costs.
