1996 Ford F-350 Description

I have for sale a 1996 Ford F350 7.3L Crew Cab with an 8' bed for sale. The truck mechanically is in good shape, cosmetically it needs some work which I will touch on later in this listing. I recently bought this truck with the intentions of restoring it since I absolutely love this body style and how great she drives, but my wife is on my ass to sell it since we are in the process of doing work to our house. I have absolutely zero intentions to sell this truck but I can't get her of my back!!!!
Little history, the truck is a second owner truck, the first owner bought it new in 1996 and lived in either Kentucky or Kansas, the original owned a horse farm and used it primarly as a tow vehicle to transport said animals, (installed a 5th wheel trailer hitch). The second owner bought the truck in Jan of 2006 with 186,400 miles. When he purchased it, the transmission was just rebuilt and as he told me. He also said that the truck had no rust at all. Fast forward to the current day.
Motor:
7.3L Powerstroke with 306k miles. The motor starts right up with zero hesitations and runs smooth. I don't know exactly what parts were replaced on the motor but the previous owner said anything that needed to be replaced was replaced, the motor does not leak (there is some sweating which is common in diesels but no drips), the oil pan is in dry and in good shape.I recently just changed the oil, cleaned the PCV system, intake boot, intake filter, replaced the glow plugsolenoid.
Transmission/Differentials:
Transmission was replaced by a OEM Ford Transmission installed by a Ford Dealership in the midwest, the transmission today has roughly 145k miles and shifts perfectly. No issues with the transmission at all. The previous owner stated that he flushed the transmission along with all other fluids once yearly, there isabsolutely noreason to believe he wasn't telling me the truth. The only issue I have is the 4x4 shifter broke, I accidentally broke it. The 4x4 works and engages as it should, just needs a new shifter. I was unaware that the 4x4 had to be engaged when the transmission was inneutral. Iaccidentally tried putting it in when the transmission was in park and broke it.
Brakes/Suspension/Tires:
All new brake lines, new front rotors and pads. The entire rear brake assembly was just replaced by my mechanic a week ago. New brake cylinders, brake pads, brake calipers, brake drum, etc. Brakes are in great shape. The shocks are rough country and have roughly 8k miles. The rear leaf spring andshackleswere replaced andslightly upgraded to a new stiffer suspension.
Body:
The body is not as bad as the pictures may or may now show. The bed underneath is solid with pretty solid with minimal rust, (look at the pictures). Both cab fenders need work. Both front fenders need to be replaced and the doors (look at the pics) two of them need the bottoms half (That if you are trying to restore the truck) The body, believe it or not does not havemany dings or dents, the body is straight. All the cab mounts are extremely solid, the undercarriage of the truck is literally rust free minus some surface rust.
Overall this is a very solid truck for a restoration or drive as it it. The entire AC system was replaced and blows ICE COLD (it only blows on max and needs a new resister). Only mods to the truck is a flow pro 4" exhaust with a muffler and a short ram K&N intake.
The Bad:
The driver side interior door handle broke. The rear doors do not lockelectrically they need to be manually locked.
Dash has a crack
Passenger-side mirror is broken
Passenger-side small window trim needs to be replaced

The truck runs like a typical true no emissions diesel. It has the typical diesel smell. I truly love the old style diesel and honestly wish I could keep her andrestore it as that was my original plan! The truck has been sitting for about a month and wants to be driven!!!!
