Survivor 1965 Galaxie 500 LTD
Thank you for considering this 1965 Galaxie LTD. The ’65 you are looking at spent most of its life at a warm dry place in South Carolina – this a very solid car. She is the first year for the LTD and finished in special order Arcadian Blue paint. Arcadian Blue was reserved for Thunderbird but can be ordered on the full size fords – especially someone paying for a new Ford LTD or XL! I am listing this for a friend who has since filled his collection with another high end Ford product. Everything posted below is the best info we have on the car. He bought it from what we believe is the 2nd owner. The car is true and looks great. The paint isn’t perfect but it’s a survivor. Parts of the car have had older touch ups. It still looks great! The owner of this car simply enjoyed it, drove it loved it. The car now needs to be sold as he has bought another classic HIPO Ford.
Interior:
The interior of this LTD is in very nice shape. The headliner and door panels are close to perfect & original, imperfections are not found. The dashboard is in MUCH better shape than most but not perfect. Just the cover has a few imperfections. The face is very nice. The steering wheel has a few typical shrinking areas as most do but the hard to find LTD specific horn ring is near mint. Carpet and seat belts are original and very nice. The front and rear seats are 100% new. All new custom sewn covers, material and springs – restored by a high end upholstery shop known for top notch work. All of the interior screws have been replaced with brand new ones. This often is overlooked in even full restorations. It complements the bright work of the aluminum garnish. In the pictures the car doesnt have its rear view mirror on, it is now on! It was off for replacement as the glass was foggy.
Frame and undercarriage:
PERFECT FRAME! WOW FOR ONCE ON A 65+ GALAXIE! NO RUST, NO ROT. That’s right, a solid South Carolina car. Because it was always garaged, you have found one of the SOLID 65 cars! The frame has not be been painted or undercoated, it’s clear as day that it’s perfect as can be. Frame, floors and trunk are beautiful! See pictures for just how perfect this frame, floors and trunk are. One of the best I have ever seen on a 65 and up car!
Body:
The blue is a special order Arcadian Blue (very rare color on the full size Galaxies in 65). Factory solar-tinted windows. Some of the paint has been touched up and that is visible. Going down the road you cannot tell but up close you can. Some of the original paint looks to be there. The owner didn’t feel a repaint was due. For this car to really be a show car it should be scuffed and sprayed. While it is very straight and has had no accidents, it wouldn’t take much to put it over the edge into “high end” show car territory. Many people say I am too critical on paint and that this is presentable. From what I can see it has an older touch up job with some typical driver blends. Its solid, panels are very straight and true. Doors and fender gaps are as they were new. The doors, hood and trunk close great! New front and rear bumpers.

I have done my best to describe the car. This car has received lots of love and the best of the best when it comes to parts and service. Even with that said, it is an antique, it is sold as is. This has proven to be a fun and reliable car.
This 1965 Galaxie LTD 5N67X133264 has no warranty and no guarantees. The buyer is responsible for the transportation of this car. The car MUST have the title transferred to your name. Payment must be in full and cleared before the car or title leaves the owner’s or my possession.
There are many transportation options. I have bought a few cars and had them transported across the country, its easy in this day and age.
Out of the United States purchasers, please read: As a collector I am very familiar with overseas transactions. Each country has its own set of rules. With this said it is very time consuming to coordinate and work with all of the customs rules. If you are out of the country please contact before purchasing. Clean title in hand; please enjoy this strong, southern beauty!
