2007 Ford Escape XLT Sport Utility 4-Door 3.0L
2007 Ford Escape XLT Description
NO RESERVE RELIST -Up for your consideration is the car I purchased for my mother a few years back that she can no longer legally drive due to her health. At 87, she is still spunky but her brain may not be up to the task of remembering where she parked at Walmart, or perhaps which lane to drive in. This is truly a car owned by "A little Old Lady in Western PA" that "Only drives it to church on Sundays". Garage kept and meticulous maintained by "Miles" the local gas station guy in town whether it needed it or not. NEVER had one single problem and this car has retained its pre Ecoboost model pep since I bought it. It has spent the past 9 years with 4000 miles/ year split with %70 light town/city driving and %30 easy turnpike biannual turnpike trips across PA to visit me. You will find her energetic, zippy, and clean with no bad smells or stains. This car drives with more zest and is more truck like than todays creampuffs SUV wannabe's. Sturdy, sure, and ford dependability with cheap US parts if the need should ever arise.
I like driving this Escape. Its a mix between my Jeep 4 door Rubicon Wrangler and my wifes new '16 Exploder. The roof rack has both the cross bars should you want to put your bikes or a kayak/canoe on the roof, which would look very natural up there. It has that classic look to it like the Jeep Wagoneer before the newer Jetson's style body. Its sharp looking. The black rrof rack, with the sports decal stripe sets it apart from any other Escape I've seen. The color is very cool as well, its a mix between a metallic silver and metallic blue depending upon how you view it.
If you are looking for a good deal on a car you can drive for the next 20 years without any expensive repair bills, or if your son/daughter needs a school car, along with one that they can camp in or adventure in, or if you want a simple good looking inexpensive car that you can always count on and still turn a few heads, you could do worse then buying Grammas ford. I put brand new snow all terrain tires on right before Mom had to go into the hospital ending her driving days. The blueing is still on the white lettering! The tires have traveled from Pittsburgh to Reading (~300 miles). Brand new. I've been thinking about whether I should not consider selling my jeep and keeping this escape, as it has more room, it's almost as capable except for extreme offroading and it gets %30 better gas mileage. Plus I can fold down the back seat and sleep in it if I choose to go adventuring.
Obviously I am selling this car because #1) Mom is never going to drive again. and #2) Mom's new living facility is expensive and I'm trying to help her raise some money to allow her to live a little more comfortably. With that being said, I would appreciate the effort if you are considering this car vs another who may not need the money so bad. Bid often and if you win, it will count towards your good kharma fund.
Please review the photos and ask if you have any questions. I do have her for sale locally and reserve the right to remove the listing if I get an offer I can't refuse, but I will try to let the listing run its course if at all possible. I will assist in local delivery, and I can assist in getting it on a transport if further delivery is necessary. My wife wants me to carmax this vehicle and be done with it, but since the money is going to mom's care I want to get the best deal that is fair for both seller and buyer. I have been selling on Ebay for many years and I have sold multiple cars, motorcycles as well as little things. You can feel confident that if you are honest any transaction with me will be fair and timely.
I appreciate your time and thank you for looking. I call her the "Norma J" after my mom :)
