1965 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD Hardtop Description

Hello, All! I have a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 4 Door LTD hardtop with the original 289 4.7L V8 with only 38,900 original miles. I have done a few things to keep this original beauty looking great and riding even better. This is rare to find a hard top without the a-pillar between the doors. When you roll down the windows there is no frame between the doors and the roof which give it a great and unique look.

I purchased this Galaxie in Illinois from a man who purchased it from the original owner who lived in the same town. It has always been garage kept and is all original minus upgrades to the shocks/engine which I have listed below. It only has 38,900 original miles! The original owner purchased it for his wife in 1965 and she only drove it a little bit because a few years later air condition models began to be produced. It was protected and driven very little in this small Illinois town where I picked it up from.
Since purchasing it I have done many upgrades and restorations to make sure this Galaxie still looks original, but rides and runs like new.
I have a whole bag of receipts and did much of the work myself and with the help of some friends who own local restoration shops.
The paint is ORIGINAL and rare to see in such phenomenal shape. I cleaned up the clear coat by claying and polishing it to bring the shine back without using an harsh chemicals or respraying the car. The interior is absolutely immaculate and has the original Ford floor mat in the front! I have the original owners manual, jack and spare, both sets of keys and info from the original buyer from 1965.

-Engine flush gunk, oil is CLEAN even after putting around 150 miles on it

-New Edelbrock Air Cleaner chrome

-New tachometer gauge and custom mount
-Trunk was sanded down and resprayed and original matting was relayed
-New trunk weather strip
-New bulbs in tails
-60's Ford F100 wheel covers give it a great look
ALL of this was done while keeping the original look and feel!
I have the original valve covers, wheel covers, 2 barrel carburetor and air cleaner and other parts if you would like to take them along with a car cover!
This car is a real beauty and I have loved every second of driving and owning it, but my family is growing so I have to move on and give it to someone who will appreciate it. This car is READY TO DRIVE! It is a real head turner and rare to see one is such amazing original condition with low mileage.
