1998 Ford E-Series Van Description

V-8 5.4 liter. 186,570 mi. Brake lines and drums have been replaced in the past couple years, front brake pads are the same age as the new tires, new plugs, a couple coil packs have been recently replaced, less than 5,000 mi on new tires, air works, cruise works, power windows & locks work, 15 mi per gal on the road. The anti-lock brakes have something wrong with them (maybe a sensor). We removed the fuse that works the anti-lock brake system and the braking is fine. Comfortable drive. Replaced the middle captain chairs with a bench seat for more seating-currently seats 8. Radio & 6 CD changer works. No TV, but the hook ups are still there. Lots of storage. A couple of the blinds have been removed due to breakage. We have owned this van since 2011. It was our family vehicle until we got a newer minivan last year and it has been a wonderful, comfortable & reliable vehicle. See pictures for rust. One running board was removed because the plastic brackets broke. The remaining running board on the passenger side is loose at the front. May want to eventually remove it. The passenger exterior door lock does not work.
Just an update: I had planned to replace the front rotors due to shimmy when braking.
After discussing with the mechanic we use, he diagnosed the issue as a bad abs sensor.
Open research we learned the fuse could be removed to make the brakes work as a traditional hydrolic brake system.
When we did this and it rectified the "shimmy" when braking. So I didn't need to replace the rotors.
Our understanding upon researching the history on this van is that the original owner hit a deer shortly after purchasing this vehicle. There is no visible evidence to this accident and we have never had any issues with it. They must have done a great repair job.
